The Comfort Inn hotel is located off Interstate 81 and Interstate 64, between Staunton and Charlottesville. This hotel is less than two miles from the Artisans Center of Virginia, a permanent exposition of work from over 100 state artisans. The P. Buckley Moss Museum is within one mile of the hotel. Additional local points of interest include Mary Baldwin College, the University of Virginia and Blue Ridge Community College. In addition, Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia and the Blackfriars Playhouse, the world's only re-creation of William Shakespeare's original indoor theater, are minutes away. For outdoor enthusiasts, fishing, hunting, swimming, golfing, canoeing and horseback riding are all minutes from the hotel. Downhill skiing is just 20 miles away at the Wintergreen ski area. A variety of restaurants and cocktail lounges are located in the surrounding area. “An Easy Stop for the Evening”
We were passing through and this was an easy stop. There are several places to eat nearby and the rooms were fine. Everyone was super nice and the hotel was well located right off the interstate.

The room was very smelly. The windows are shut closed, so no ventilation. The wooden floor became slippery because of that. The carpets were also very dirty.

“Fantastic!”
Hotel was lovely and clean and our room was fantastic. Bed was comfy, bathroom was spacious and clean. Hotel was quiet which was lovely. Breakfast was brilliant! Lots of choice. Hot and cold, bagels, English muffins and standard toast as well as waffles and cereal. Literally everything you could want - and it was regularly serviced cleaned and refreshed - perfect!

We were pleasantly surprised, starting with the friendly staff at reception and breakfast room. Room size was great, room and bathroom comfortable and clean. Complimentary breakfast nicer than you might expect from hotel in this category. Location great if you plan to do Skyline Drive and/or Blue Ridge Pkwy. Whenever we want to spend more time in this beautiful area, we now know where we will stay.

Good location for the skyline drive, with quite a few restaurants and a Walmart close by. Hotel clean and well maintained. Nice little gym and a clean pool.

The hotel is basic but excellent for an overnight when visiting either Shendoah National Park or the Blue Ridge Parkway. It offers a nice swimmingpool, great after a days travel.
