The amibance was great, staffs are polite and wel behaved, food was delicious. Even customised food is possible in consultation with chef. Most importantly the lesuire place near beach and room view are surreal. We are completely blown away by the atmosphere.

Hotel was very clean, bedroom cleaned each day and nets pulled down each evening. lovely views of the bay, we had a view of the sea, as well as the pool. Quiet location, we had great sleeps. Shower was powerful, tea & coffee in the room. We had breakfast included which was a mix of continental buffet and ordered cooked breakfast. We ate here three evenings and had drinks throughout, all reasonable. Food was very tasty, we had the Italian pizza & pasta, but also had a fantastic lobster. We stayed around the pool and also lay on the beds over looking the bay which was excellent. It looks like work is being done to keep this hotel in good condition ready for high season. We walked to the golf a couple of times, walked along the bay, and to the local supermarket. Staff were very attentive and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and to anything we wanted.

Very friendly staff

The location was so excellent with very friendly staff. They helped me to get someone to move around with me and view places and the nice surprise of the upgrade was also good.

I loved loved staying at Visiwa Beach Resort. The staff were so friendly and pleasant. The Resort is sooo soo beautiful and they have beautifully decorated it (if you are an art lover you will love the place). Also, felt really safe in the property if you are planning on doing solo travelling. The restaurant had really amazing options of food, service was quick and the food was good to. I would rate my experience 10/10. Definitely planning on going back again.

“Considering the cost and it's own description as a 5 ☆ hotel our stay was very disappointing.”

The breakfast was good, however I was surprised that ordering a cappuccino was considered an extra charge. Visiwa purports to be a 5☆ hotel and the cost suggests it should be, so why is a cappuccino extra?

Great location in front of the Seven Islands. At high tide, you get a sort of private beach. (Be aware that there is a fair share of seaweed, although it tends to congregate near the shore. You can always seek refuge in the pool if that bothers you.) At low tide, you can walk to the islands and the reef. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. The facilities are good, served by a plethoric and friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast.

“Excellent stay!”

This resort was a little slice of heaven in Watamu. It was so peaceful, and this contributed to us having a great stay. Breakfast was great, the à la carte food at the restaurant was also really good, location was near the main road in Watamu and the room was gorgeous and clean. But the best part was the staff, every single one of them made this a great stay. They were all so friendly and kind, always making sure we had everything we needed. This was probably the best staff I’ve experienced in my travels so far. The owner was also very friendly, always around for a chat and very personable, which is a really nice touch. We hope to go back to Watamu in the future and if we do, we’ll be staying here again!

The location on the beach was great. Lots of beach boys but security deterred them if we were on the sun beds.the array of sunbeds and the pool area was lovely.

The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly, and we found the facilities and location exceeded our expectations. We could not have asked for more. We ate most of our meals at the resort as the food was delicious with a nice variety. We will definitely return to Visiwa.
