“Good value for money”

Overall, most things were fine, especially considering that this was a budget stay, so I wasn’t expecting any luxury. The hotel is definitely past its prime and the room decor feels quite outdated, but everything was clean, which is always a big plus. One feature I really appreciated was the dish sterilizer – that was a nice and useful touch. It was also great to have access to clean, dry towels to stand on after a shower. The kitchen was well-equipped, and basic spices were generally available, which made cooking much more convenient. The hospitality was also very good, and the staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay.

I was surprised by how clean and tidy the property was. Welcoming staff. Massive kitchen space with all the tools for cooking. Quiet neighbourhood with plenty of parking spaces around. Located in Albert Town, which is 5-7 mins from Wanaka CBD. Perfect for travellers with wheels to avoid parking hassles if staying somewhere in the CBD. Even when staying in a dorm room, each bed is provided with a towel. This is definitely a plus, as not many motels offer this for dorm rooms. The rooms actually look better than they do in the Booking photos.

Really really comfortable beds and pillows! This is the best sleep I’ve had on a hostel bed in a long time! The heater kept us very warm, everything was clean and tidy! The kitchen has absolutely everything you could ever need, very comfortable stay !

4 bed dorm was very cosy - not much room to unpack or sort stuff out but great comfy beds, enough plugs and handy shelves to put stuff on and lots of hooks! staff were lovely - kitchen was one of the best equipped kitchens in a hostel/lodge i’ve ever been in! everything was super clean. location isn’t directly in wanaka but didn’t bother us as we were just hiking in mt aspiring park.

I think it's a wonderful place for budget travelers and backpackers. It is comfortable, easy on the wallet and very friendly staff! They were very kind, patient and woderful to talk to. It was very cool!
