The Rez is a comfortable establishment with a friendly, open lay-out and large, comfortable rooms. It is clean and neat, and the hospitality of the owner and staff is exceptional. It is air conditioned and there is ample space in the communal areas with big chairs to discuss business or relax. Early booking is essential for obvious reasons. When in Walvis, I stay at The Rez.

The decor both in the indoor areas and outside courtyard made the property very cosy and welcoming. The staff were also always on hand to help and tea and coffee was always available free of charge, which I really liked.

Breakfast is another highlight: the buffet is varied, with fresh and high-quality options, and guests can also order hot dishes prepared on the spot, making the experience even more enjoyable. But what truly makes the difference here is the people. The hosts and the entire team —whether at breakfast, housekeeping, maintenance, or security— are simply wonderful. Professional, attentive, and always with a smile, they make guests feel genuinely welcome. That mix of professionalism and warmth leaves a lasting impression. In short, this is a place full of care and charm, offering comfort, excellent food, and above all, an exceptional team. A hotel you’ll definitely want to return to.

The property was super comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was also a stone’s throw from the esplanade which allowed for an after dinner walk along the waterfront with the kids to wrap up the perfect day.

This hotel is a boutique hotel, quite good design, not too far from Wavis Bay beach.

I always go in this guesthouse. So nice and comfy.
