“A truly unique place to stay, like no other!”
This place is EXTREMELY isolated! If you are looking for an experience like no other this is YOUR place. Four wheel drive is REQUIRED to get through the deep sand en route to the lodge. The staff was exceptionally welcoming! The food was unsurpassed anywhere in Namibia and the sole fish was the absolute best in Namibia….moist and flavorfu! We were there in Winter and it was chilly but bearable. Walking near the seal colonies was an unforgettable experience. Listening to the seals the entire night with the balcony door open was unforgettable. This is THE place to get away “from it all” and just relax. I could have sat in a beach chair and watched the surf, seals, seagulls and jackals for an hour. The owner’s dogs will adopt you too! I have been to 63 countries and never experienced a hotel like this until this visit.

“A most unusual hotel in a unique location. Wonderful”
An amazingly unique quality property set at the end of a peninsula. Fantastic food, friendly staff and a great NEW owner in Hilo, who has turned around a floundering hotel (if you believe the old reviews ) A drive across sand for 10km only heightens the expectations , and we were not disappointed. Driving through colonies of sea lions was an experience and then kayaking with them the next day, with Marcus as our guide, was truly magical. We will be back again!!!

“An exceptionally unique and iconic place to stay. Remote and off the beaten track. Elegant and beautiful. An experience”
Such a unique location. An unbelievable experience. The hotel was more like a luxury lodge. Off the beaten track with 360 degrees views of the magnificent ocean. Elegant and beautifully decorated. Something very iconic and unique. We’ve travelled extensively and this is once of the most unique experiences we have had.

Manager was intoxicated on arrival. We ate at 10pm the first night. No privacy, no doors on the shower/toilet facilities. No constant power, almost no wifi. No cups in room, no spoons, no milk, the food and drinks at the restaurant were limited. At one point all they had to offer was lemonade. No one cleaned our room. We asked for more blankets, never got any. No AC, no fan.
