We enjoyed the cozy and warm vibes of Stringer's Cottage. The location is near the train station which is great and we didn't need to look for a parking spot since it's a 5 minutes walk from the accommodation.

We stayed at Stringers Cottage - then were upgraded to the Coach House - for reasons below. Both are nestled in a picturesque spot in the forest above the train station.

The woodfire and the TV was great.

Great location, great views and loved being able to see/hear the train taking off each day was a good novelty for the kids. Plenty of room for our group, beds were super comfy. House had a great charm to it. 5 min walk to the train station which was convienient with kids. Also in walking distance to the Pub. About a 25ish min walk into town which is a beautiful walk.

The location, in a bushland setting above the old walhalla railway. The guesthouse was quirky and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the bathrooms effective.

I had a great stay and it was very peaceful and well kepted.

A good size for our group

This was a peaceful stay, you really feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. Gorgeous bush all around and so nice to sit by the fire. Comfy bed and good black out curtains. Loved to have a coffee and look out at the view.

The location - being just above the train station where you can watch the engines shunting - was delightful. Not to mention just how close it was to everything in Walhalla. The building itself is charming, and perfect for a quick getaway for two. As long as you don't mind steps, you'll have a good time. The bed was very comfortable and the decorations charming. I loved the wood heater, and it did a good job of warming the place.

Was a fantastic setting for a weekend away with friends. Such a comfortable house. We loved our stay. The peace and quiet at night, the stream outside and the little train going past in the morning were delightful.

Gorgeous old-time tiny cottage guest-house nestled in beautiful bush setting with great view over historic railway, and just a short drive into the picture-book township of Walhalla. LOVED every bit!
