Ideally situated on the Goldstein. Very friendly ladies and good local food at value for money prices. Large room with balcony in rural village so peaceful and quiet.

“Excellent hotel especially for Goldsteig hikers”
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hikers even get a free footbath and their clothes washed, if needed. The room was modern yet comfortable, with a beautiful valley view from the balcony. The food is good, but especially the large array of breakfast options incl. freshly made egg dishes were lovely to start the next hike. The location is also directly at the Goldsteig trail. Fair price. This has been the place that's been the most accomodating to long-distance hikers on my entire trip thus far!

This was really amazing stay during my bike travel. Although I speak German very poorly (I can order beer or dinner), I feel very welcomed here. Very good breakfast, nice views from balcony, very calm place for the rest.

“A beautiful place with an amazing hostess.”
The owner, Evi was so very kind and attentive. The rooms and all facilities were extremely clean, and the location amazing with lots of walks and things to do from the doorstep. The food was very delicious and you get a lot; there were some veggie options on the menu, and Evi made me a dish on our last night that was not on the menu just to give me more variety. We will be booking our next stay soon.

First of all the lady running the hotel is super nice. We felt very much welcomed with our 1 year old son and all staff really did their best to make our stay great. I appreciate baby bed you can borrow for free and general baby friendly environment, but hotel is still very calm at the same time. Garden is beautiful and spacious.

“Wonderful!”
Hotel Gruber is a very pretty hotel and super clean. One could immediately feel a warm and friendly atmosphere upon entering the hotel. There were two women who ran the dining room (each on a different night) who were kind and welcoming. We REALLY loved the food! Dinner was exceptional and breakfast had a wide array of good quality food. The room was pleasant and bed was comfy. Also, there was a nice view from the balcony. There is a lot of hiking and nature walks to discover in the area. We were so happy to have been able to stay 2 nights there. On our next visit to Hotel Gruber, we hope to stay longer.
