Warmly welcomed by the host of LuLu Stay who can speak English well. He has also recommended me some nice restaurants around for dinner. The common area includes the living room and the kitchen which I am lucky enough to use it for an online meeting without much disturbance since there are not many guests during the stay. I once again would like to express the gratitude of the hospitality I have received during the stay. For those who carry a heavy luggage for the stay, they have a small storage space to place your luggage instead of bringing them up to the room upstairs.

I can only recommend this to anyone going to Wakkanai. Probably the best stay I ever had anywhere even though it was just one night. Food recommendations, nice evening talks with the owner, who speaks very good English, and so much love into the deer theme everywhere!

The hosts were very kind and helpful, gave us all The information needed and even more for our next stops in the island. Very clean, convenient, close to the ferry.

Clean rooms, welcoming host, and smelled great inside. Had free onsite parking and a nice shared kitchen and dining area. Lots of cute little design touches too. The hosts were very kind and communicated well. They gave us tips about the local area which we appreciated.

The owners were super nice - welcomed us and really helped us with things we needed, everything was clean and nice atmosphere in the house. You can use the kitchen and cook. Thank you!!

“Very homey place, an experience of living with a nice Japanese family.”

It is a small, boutique place, run by the owners, with only 3 rooms. As such, it creates a very homey feeling, even more due to the character of hosts, extremely nice young Japanese couple. The hosts have put a lot of effort to make the place beautiful, with a lot of small design details focused on deer theme. The beauty of the inside of the house contradicts the relative ugliness of Wakkanai city. The hosts speak very good English, and are very supportive giving a lot of practical, restaurant or hiking tips. It all gives a feeling of staying at a Japanese home or family, not another hotel looking everywhere in the world the same.

This is the cleanest guest house I have ever stayed in a trip. There is no dust, zero compromises on hygiene or design decors. It is definitely very well maintained. I also get a warm welcome message from the host together with a welcome snack, feels like you are receiving hospitality even better than hotels. Hosts speak very serviceable English as well!

Kiki and Ugi were very welcoming and gave us tips to make the most of our time in Wakkanai. We liked the house decoration and humor and appreciated the eco-friendly approach.

Lovely stay at Wakkanai thanks to the two amazing and helpful hosts, Kiki and Yuji. All amenities are provided, the hosts will answer any questions you may have and you feel enough privacy even though you will be staying at their place. The sweet note and cookies in our room was really nice.

Good location. Nice and quiet. Nearby restaurants, convenience stores and supermarket within walking distance. Short walk to local Onsen. Tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The place was immaculately clean. The hosts were warm and very welcoming with great suggestions of what to see and where to eat. We loved the deer theme throughout the property and were lucky enough to see a number of deer when we were out walking the streets. Loved our stay while bikepacking Hokkaido. Great place to recharge our batteries.

Very stylish clean and comfortable with friendly helpful hosts. Very cute personal arty touches. A lift was provided to the station as there was a lot of snow which made carting our bags difficult.
