“Super Hotel that goes the extra mile to look after you!”
Absolutely first rate hotel at a very reasonable price. Well situated close to bus and train stations, 2 car hire bases a 2 minute walk away. Good sized room with a very comfortable bed and lovely linen, towels and high quality toiletries. Lots of unusual complimentary extras:- Complimentary Yakult pro biotic drinks available in the 10th floor Onsen bath in the morning, complimentary selection of ice cream bars and popsicles in the same place during the afternoon. The Onsen bath itself was excellent and had both an inside and outside bathing area, beautifully laid out with a seating area - really lovely! Finally, there was complimentary Ramen for all guests in the dining room from 9.30pm - 11.00pm. If by any chance you missed this then there were complimentary snack noodles available at the front desk from 11.00pm until 1.00am. Complimentary coffee available in the lobby through the day as well. The breakfast was excellent! A huge choice, mainly Japanese but also a few Western dishes. Absolutely brilliant, we could not fault it. Staff were professional, friendly and two desk staff spoke excellent English.

“Great Hotel”
A truly wonderful hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are excellent, especially the onsen on the 10th floor, which was a real highlight of my stay. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of local dishes, with a strong focus on fresh seafood. If you’re ever in Wakkanai, this is absolutely the place to stay, it offers amazing value for the price.

“Don’t waste your time staying anywhere else”
5 minute walk from Wakkanai. Friendly staff, clean hotel with a fantastic onsen on the top floor. It seems Dormy inn’s are the go to’s for Japan travelling. The UK equivalent is Premier Inn, except Dormy does it much better!

“The complimentary ramen is the best!”
This was our first stay at Dormy Inn, and we truly enjoyed it. The complimentary ramen served at night was a delightful surprise and something we hadn’t experienced at other hotels in Japan. The bed was clean and very comfortable. We would definitely come back again.

“A Wakkanai treat”
The hot spring facility is very good - sauna, indoor hot and cold pools, and a spacious outdoor pool where one can soak with snow drifting down. We had a lovely room overlooking the coast, and could do some 'ship spotting' and see the nearby islands when the weather cleared. Close to Wakkanai train station, good restaurants nearby, and walking distance to the coastline. The post office is close too, for money exchange/withdrawal and postcards/parcels. It was a great way to be acquainted with Wakkanai!

“Nice place to relax for overnight”
Very close to train station, the bed is big & comfortable. The staff is super friendly & helpful. I left my glasses accidentally & when I went back to the hotel, the staff are very attentive & found my glasses when I was about to give up. The free ramen at night tastes very good also.

“A hotel with hot springs located at the northernmost tip of Japan.”
Located at the northernmost point of Japan, the view from the room was magnificent. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Sakhalin in Russia. The hot spring on the top floor is equipped with an open-air bath and sauna, and was a very pleasant experience.

The no tattoo rule needs to be revised. Though we totally understand the cultural issue.
