“Best Hostel in Wakayama (maybe in Japan?)”

First thing - the hospitality. I've never met such a vibrant owner in a hostel in my life. She is a walking ray of sunshine with great English and helped us with every little thing. The futon bed was comfortable and the room's size fitted the both of us just right.

the bedroom is very closed to the toilet and kitchen, very convinent!

I was kindly greeted by Hikoko and Kazu when I arrived and they gave a detailed explanation of everything I needed to know. Including local recommendations. Access to the bicycles was a game change. Thanks to that, I was able to get around Wakayama city so easily. I travelled in Feb/Mar so it was still a little chilly but the room was nicely heated with extra blankets to use at night. I had a lovely time here and would definitely come again. :)

The location is perfect, Hiroko is absolutely nice, rooms are small but comfy. Maybe a desk would be a good investment. The stairs are veeeery steep so you need to be careful. But If your mobility is kinda limited, you can ask to book a room downstairs.

The attention to detail, the little touches that make it seem like a home away from home. The bikes on site allowed us to explore the city and get around easily.

“Very comfy and convenient guesthouse”

The owners were so kind. Because I had to go hiking, I asked them to take my luggage sent from another city and keep it there in advance. They kept it for a few days even before I stay their accomodation. They always contacted me in advance when I need to know something regarding the stay and accepted my inquiry and request so readily. The location is convenient for access to other shops, onsen, station, and supermarkets, and although it was only a day, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Because the weather got suddenly cold, they prepared electric mat in advance. I appreciate their thoughtfulness. Even though it was a single room, it was spacious enough for one person. Thank you very much!

Very good for a motorcycle trip. They accept parking motorcycles. The host is very nice.

Hiroko, the host was so helpful and warm. It was a short stay but i loved every moment of it

Everything was as listed. The owners were really lovely, the space quiet, clean, with a pleasant atmosphere. The rental free bicycle was fun.

Peaceful, comfortable and exceptionally clean. Hiroko and Kazu were very kind and helpful. Would definitely stay again when I next visit the region.

The host is adorable and easy to communicate with. Big room, confortable, clean, and super convinient. It was a nice break to visit Wakayama.

Love it ...host was welcoming and very helpful .showed us good restaurants close to the hostel .we went to wakayama castle and garden ..was close to everything ..happy , unfortunately we stayed only for a day cannot explore more of wakayama Thank you miss hiroko

Fabulous value for money and incredibly friendly service. Room was very large especially for the price. Helpful tips for restaurants etc. were much appreciated.

“Lovely stay”

The place was clean, quiet and well-located. The hosts did a good job when it comes to decoration and everything was labeled in English, it was really helpful. Hiroko and Kazu are very thoughtful, a little welcoming note was placed next to the door and she even offered me a ride to go back to the station for me to avoid having to carry my backpack on the way. Definitely recommend this cute hidden hostel.

Helpful and friendly host provided useful travel info. Shared bathrooms not a issue as there are more shower rooms than bedrooms! Well provided and clean kitchen. Free parking next to hostel.

Hiroko was a hero to us as our flight was delayed 2 hours and we only reached Wakayama in the midnight. She offered us the ride to the hostel and welcome us with her warm heart and explained everything to us. The room is really tidy and she has prepared the futon for us! I really like it! Toilets are very clean! Very quiet neighborhood! Will definitely recommend others to stay!
