Overview
Overlooking the beautiful 5 lakes of Mikata (Mikatagoko), Suigekka offers comfortable Japanese and Western rooms with lake views, spacious hot spring baths, gorgeous traditional dinners and a variety of activities including tennis, mini-golf and fishing. All Japanese-style rooms have traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor, and some come with an en suite bathroom. Western-style rooms with modern beds are also available. Each room at the property features a fridge, an electric kettle and yukata robes. JR Mikata Train Station is a 20-minute drive from the property. The Kogashima Onsen hot-spring area is a 35-minute drive away, while the Rainbow Line scenic highway is a 15-minute drive away. On-site parking is free. Guests can rent a bicycle and explore the scenic lakeside, hike the nearby hills or simply relax in the sauna. Massages are available for a fee, and the hotel has a gift shop with unique local goods. The set-menu Japanese breakfast and multi-course dinner are served at the dining hall, which has floor cushions on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Dinner boasts a variety of freshly caught seafood.

“A comfortable stay with good food”
The dinner and breakfast are served restaurant-style with a table and dishes already laid out for you, along with waitstaff. The room is quite large and the balcony has a view of the lake. The balcony sliding door can be opened and it provides a great flow of fresh air. A single complimentary serving of mochi and tea is provided with the room.

“Great location but more required to make it epic.”
Location was amazing. Just at the end of the rainbow line. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They created a mollusc free meal for my wife.
