“Exceeded my expectations, beautiful island”

The location is beautiful, the staff were very friendly, cleaner than expected. Has all your very basic necessities. Drink prices were very good. It was very relaxing.

The meals every day were good, and the staff on the island itself did their best to accommodate all the guests. It was extremely relaxing once on the island. I very much enjoyed laying in a hammock for hours on end reading a book (my wife is more restless and had a more difficult time with the hours of calm and quiet). The sea breeze was consistent and felt great. The fact we were on a small island meant mosquitoes were practically nonexistent. I give this experience an overall fair/good rating for the sake of the local residents on the islands, who do all they can with what they've got.

“Blast on San Blas”

This is sunning on the beach as it should be, a lot less of the traditional 'comfort' you would find on a more commercial resort. The custodians (native people) look after you, but also stay out of your way. Communication with the custodians on the island is limited if like myself you only speak English, however all communication with the travel agency was consistent and prompt. You have to be prepared for a more basic way of living, which is just what I was hoping to gain out of it. The islands truly are worth a visit and one of the most magical places I've been on this planet. My booking experience was smooth with no issues despite me booking two days prior to the trip.

Excellent spot on small private island

Genuinely one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve been to. Came in low season and the weather was perfect. The pick up from Panama City was a really smooth operation. People on the island are friendly. Great experience, nothing to fault.

“Better than I expected”

I was really happy with my decision to stay on Isla Yani - it was indeed a paradise and it exceeded my expectations 1. The island is beautiful - better than the photos - pure paradise and I think 3 nights was not too long. 2. it's very clean - the room was clean and the toilets were clean (showers maybe not so much) - there was ALWAYS toilet paper and usually soap to wash your hands 3. The food was amazing - really good and a lot of food - fresh fish at least once a day 4. prices for drinks were reasonable 5. there's no trash on the beaches or in the water 6. The staff is pretty professional - not friendly or warm exactly but this is pretty typical for hotels in Panama. 7. The agency that arranges your transport and booking was pretty good at providing me with information about my stay compared to what other travelers I met experienced. I was one of the few people who actually knew what island I was going to. 8. Accommodations were basic but comfortable. The high price that you're paying is not for the accommodations, it's for the chance to experience paradise and it's truly paradise.

“Food discrimination”

The island was beautiful, but all around shallow water and full of algae, seaweed, so you needed to swim quite far for clear water. Some locals were friendly, but most of them not, especially the women.

Everything. Loveled the local family, the island is beautiful, very basic but tasty, fresh food, they served my 5 year old meals that he actually ate. Basic clean room, sound of waves.. Just lovely stay
