“Fantastic camp in Wadi Rum”

Fantastic camp in Wadi Rum. Room was incredibly affordable but the expectation is that you book some desert activities with them. The activities are reasonably priced and help supplement the cost of the room.

Overall, my experience at Camp Fire in Wadi Rum was really nice. The welcoming was warm, the people were kind, and the food was delicious. The camp itself was well set up and the desert setting was magical. However, I did have an uncomfortable experience during the night. Around 2 a.m., a Bedouin man knocked on my tent and asked me to open the window. When I raised my voice to tell him I was in bed and wanted to sleep, he told me to be quiet because everyone else was sleeping. Then, realizing I wasn’t going to open the tent, he made up an excuse to justify why he was there in the first place. Eventually, he left after I clearly said I wanted to sleep. While nothing happened beyond that, I felt scared and uncomfortable. I didn’t feel safe enough to leave my tent afterward — not even to use the bathroom or ask a friend if I could sleep in their tent. That moment really affected how I felt about the night overall. I still appreciate the kindness of the rest of the staff and the beauty of the experience, but I think it’s important for the camp to make sure all guests feel completely safe, especially at night.

“Unforgettable experience”

Great experience! Our kids are so enthusiastic and we too! We had a one-day tour with Murad and we'll never forget him for empathy and kindness. Amazing stargazing with Suleiman. Good food. Well recommended for sure!

The camp is nice and clean. Comfort is ok, there is plug and light in the room. The atmosphere is amazing and the employees are easy going funny and friendly! The food at night is excellent. We took a full day trip in jeep which was nice as well.

“Best value for an amazing experience.”

We loved our time at Wadi Rum Fire Camp. We were met at the rest stop by the owner's little brother, whose name I'm forgotten. He was lovely. He took us to a meeting place where we met and had tea with our host. The brother then took us on a three hour jeep tour of the desert, which was fantastic. We were kind of pushed a little to do a longer trip, but the sky was heavy with the threat of rain, so we stuck to our guns and did the 3 hour tour. It really was great. We were then taken to our camp and shown our tent. It was a really decent size with two regular single beds in it. It was also raised off the ground, which proved to be a very good thing when the torrential rain (first rain in two years, apparently) hit us in the middle of the night. We arrived at the camp at lunch time, but there was no food offered. Fortunately we had snacks. The bathrooms were shared with the other tents, but they were new, clean and spacious. The view from the camp was amazing, and you really had the chance to feel at one with nature. Dinner wasn't served until after dark, and we were starving by then. It was served in a large communal tent, and we ate with the other campers and our hosts. The meal was really, really incredible. They apologised that they couldn't give us a traditional meal cooked in the ground, but the rain wouldn't allow them. It didn't matter in the least to us - the food was so good. They also gave us all the water and tea we could drink. After dinner there was dancing. Our hosts got everyone up and taught us a few dances - I swear my hands are still tingling from all the clapping. Such great fun. In the morning we were served with another excellent meal before a jeep ride back to the village. We asked if we could leave a little earlier because our driver was waiting for us (something I had pre-arranged), but they weren't keen to.

Amazing location, amazing food and friendly staff. Wish I had longer. Will definitely be back.

“Best desert camp in Wadi Rum”

Amazing experience to camp in the desert. This camp was further away from the others and in my opinion a much better location. The food was incredible and the hospitality amazing. We did full jeep tour for 55 JOD per person.
