Overview
Salem Camp is located close at Sunset place in the protected area of Wadi Rum. Surrounded by desert and mountains, it offers traditional Bedouin-style accommodation with tents. All tents are equipped with mattresses, blankets and pillows. Showers and toilets are shared and can be found in Salem Camp main tent. You can choose to sleep outside underneath the stars. The camp uses solar power so all tents are fitted with power sockets. Traditional, local dishes like Mansaf, Maqloba and Zarb are served by the campfire or in the restaurant. Tea, coffee and other hot beverages are offered all day. You can book Jeep and camel riding tours that the camp offers. In addition, Salem Camp arranges for climbing and desert camping tours. Trekking and hiking activities are also possible. Wadi Rum Village is 14 km drive away from Salem Camp. King Hussein International Airport is 75 km away. Petra is 115 km drive away by car.

“Warm welcome and amazing places”
The host & guide in the tour was such a warm person, they prepared to us dinner cooked in the sand even we were only 4 adults and 2 kids guests in total. Took also into account vegetarian option I have asked for. He assured me that jordanians are friendly people and willing to help when in need Clean room, bathroom, shower Just to know, at beginning of march it was quite cold in the night

Best bathroom facilities we had in Jordan!! In the desert ! Otherworldly experience in Wadi Rum with that scenery and temperature extremes. We were there in December but it was still 10C at night, warm I think ;). Cosy, organised, social. We really recommend Khaled and a 3 hour jeep tour but wish we'd realised there was so much to do and see, such great hiking, at least in winter, maybe too hot in summer. Exceeded expectations in all ways scope, comfort and atmosphere...

“Perfect place to spend a night in Wadi Rum with insane price/value ratio”
It exceeded all my expectations. I did not expect such comfortable beds and such nice bathrooms in the middle of the desert. The location is amazing, it's in the red part of the desert, surrounded by big cliffs that you can climb to see the sunset/sunrise. The staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. Oh, yeah, and the price is absurdly low. The price/value ratio is through the roof with this one.

Fantastic location, host and the food. The common bathrooms were very nice and comfortable, much more than one would expect in the desert campground. Our tent was also very quiet and comfortable, in fact it felt more like a hotel room than a tent.

All was perfect, Khaled, Salem and his son, beduins entertaining during the dinner, the food, etc! If you want to see the sunset you have to climb a rock nearby, it is worthing.

“Perfect spot for chilling out and meditation in silence”
The location is fantastic. With no other camps in close vicinity you can enjoy Wadi Rum views like no other. Camp fire in the tent in the evening is absolutely amazing.

“Perfect”
The guide Mohamed was greath. The day trip is worth it. The tents are clean. I recomand it. We felt safe and taken care of. It was a greath experience. I recomand this camp.

We like the unique experience, it was the Best experience with the camp we have ever had. It's stunning beautiful and quiet place. Our hosts were just awesome, Khaled is super welcoming and made us feel like we were family. The food was delicious, traditional food that is cooked under the sand from the heat of the sun. Everithing is Just beautiful, you feel like u can touch the stars. We truly highly recommend this place for a total Jordan experience!
