We had an amazing stay at Vila Polar. The location is perfect — just a few steps from the train station, restaurants, and wellness facilities, with beautiful views from the room. The staff are exceptionally friendly and genuinely welcoming, offering proper Slovak hospitality with warmth and kind words at every encounter. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts are well worth the extra charge — a generous buffet with tasty homemade tea. Our stay exceeded expectations, and we would like to thank the staff for their attentiveness and hospitality. We fully recommend Vila Polar, as we would book it again for our next stay at the High Tatras.

Everything was excellent – we were very pleased with our stay. The hosts were helpful, attentive and friendly. The room was clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. It was quiet. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and delicious – we ate to our heart’s content.

“Good location and poor sound insulation”

The hotel is very clean, the location and the breakfast are very good.

Due to train delays we arrived 2 hours after check-in officially ended. We phoned the hotel, and the lady not only waited for us, but when we finally arrived welcomed us very warmly! Thanks to the great staff we felt extremely well here. Apart from that: breakfast was delicious, the view from the balcony very nice; very quiet neighbourhood, although near the railway station (from there it's only a walk of 5 minutes)

A comfortable room in a nicely renovated, clean building. The location is very good, at approximately 10 mins walk from the centre.

Vila Polar has an exceptional location and views of the mountains. We received a warm welcome; all our requests were met. The room was new and clean, and the breakfast with a wide selection of continental food. The rooftop bar is so homy with a fireplace and nice service, good selection of wines. We liked the place and will return!

“Good stay in a new vila.”

Breakfast was exceptably yummy. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Facility is new. Views are fascinating when fog is away. Bathroom spacy. Balcony is a privilege. Few restaurants are 100m away.

Vacuum cleaning in the corridor at 8am when the hotel has thin doors and we can hear everything from the hall it's very inconsiderate towards guests. The rest was fine, lovely view.
