Overview
Located right next to the pristine Štrbské Lake in the foothills of the High Tatras, Hotel FIS offers cosy accommodation at the entrance to the Mlynická Valley. Ski slopes, cross country tracks, and hiking trails are all within 50 metres of the FIS. Wi-Fi is free in some rooms. Wellness centre can be enjoyed free of charge. The newly-furnished rooms offer a comfort in a mountain style. Each room has a private bathroom and most of the rooms have a private balcony. The on-site restaurant and a lobby bar serves Slovak and international cuisine. Opened in 2013, the spa and wellness facilities include a relaxation room, infrared sauna, steam sauna, Finnish sauna, hot tub and treatment rooms. Some areas overlook the ski jumps. A well-equipped gym, and sports hall for playing volleyball, basketball, mini-football, and tennis are also available. Guests can also enjoy a game of table tennis or pool. The lobby and café have been refurbished in 2012. All rooms were renovated in 2017. This dog-friendly hotel also accommodates dogs for a surcharge on certain floors. This hotel was named after the international ski federation, the FIS, and was officially launched by FIS president Mark Hodler in 1970. The FIS Hotel is the largest accommodation and sporting complex in the High Tatra Mountains. Poprad Airport is a 20-minute drive away.

Returning customer. Great place to stay, stunning location . Ski slope at the doorstep. Ideal starting point for hikes in the summer. Amazing food .Will be back again soon.

Breakfast was very good. Perfect location, very close to the ski píšte. Room cosy and clean bed linen!! . Very good mattresses!!

Friendly staff. Wide range of service. Offered one chair lift ticket per person, water park entry and pool table as well as fussball table. Lovely breakfast. Wonderful sauna rooms

“Top location at Strbske pleso, a bit dated though.”
This is top location if you want to do hiking / skiing. Breakfast were very nice. We had family room for 4 people, size is so so, OK if you want to just sleep in the room. Offer with tickets for cable car and water park is very good value.

“Lots of benefits for low value. If you are not posh and happy to stay in retro appartment :)”
My 2nd stay here, and not the last one. Few meters away from slopes to which you get daily tickets part of the accomodation price. Food is also very satisfying. Exclusive parking right in front of the building (and slopes)
