The location is great if you are looking for an isolated quiet and peaceful village. There is one, old skool style, cafe that is open in the evening. The breakfast is decent and well appreciatted in a village that there are not other options, not during low season. We arrived on a snowy afternoon and despite the cold, the room was warm, we never felt cold, there was always hot water, and the hosts were very friendly. It is always interesting to chat with locals and the host, Vaios, is always up for chatting about the history of the village, the civil war, and answering any questions or giving tips about places to visit or eat.

This hotel fully reflects the unique atmosphere in this mountain hamlet in arguably one of the most remote parts of Northern Greece, a mere stonesthrow away from the border with Albania. What stands out the most is the heartwarming hospitality of its owners - with the lady of the house being Italian from Como and her husband Voios, fluent in Italian, who grew up in this very compound. Voios also built the wing housing the guest rooms from scratch by himself, emulating the way of construction of his ancestors' former living quarters in exactly the same location.

Beautiful traditional building, carefully restored to its former glory by the owner. Spacious, warm rooms, huge beds and delicious home made breakfast. The owner was very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Greece.

We had a very nice stay during the 2024 Easter celebrations at this beautiful bed & breakfast. The owner Mr. Vaios and his family welcomed us warmly and provided a great service beyond our expectations. We will definitely visit again.

The Al Monte Hotel is a beautiful and peaceful hotel located in the heart of the Prespa region of Greece. The hotel is family-run and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to make sure that their guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The rooms at the Al Monte Hotel are spacious and well-appointed. They are decorated in a traditional Greek style and have all the amenities that you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are always fresh and clean. The Al Monte Hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area of the Prespa region. The hotel is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery and there are plenty of opportunities for hiking and exploring the local area.

The reconstructed house is absolutely magical in its appearance. Its owner was born here and, according to his own words, spent ten years renovating it. The hotel is run by a married couple who obviously devote all their time to this establishment. It's a great place to start your excursions in the surrounding countryside, which hides something of its history at every turn.

Room very comfortable, bathroom more than adequate, neat and tidy premises, breakfast and dinner very good food, service perfect and host Vajo is an absolute legend. So helpful and I have made a good friend with him. I cannot state enough that for a village this hotel is exceptional, beyond my expectations, you will not be disappointed. It’s a lovely place, peaceful and glorious to see village life in todays world. I wish Vajo every success and I will be back one day.

We spent one night in the hotel, but Al Monte is a really good place for staying for several days. Peace and quiet are around you there. A traditional stone house with a fireplace, a good greek breakfast, and a friendly hostess! You should get warm clothes because nights are colder in that region of Greece :)
