Clean room, we got two single beds with a lake view. The environment is serene and relaxing. Breakfast was wonderful, lots of options, great view from the room and the terrace as well to the lake.

“Generally good but some weak areas to be aware of”

The common areas of the hostel including the communal kitchen are excellent. Breakfast is also very good. It's only a 15 min walk from Voss station so is an ideal base from which to explore the area. The location by the water is lovely. Generally quite clean throughout and staff helpful.

Great friendly staff, size of the room, such an amazing view from my window. Outside areas, lounge and breakfast was perfect. Loved the location...10/15min walk to Voss station, I wish I had stayed two nights!!!

“Great hostel with lake view and nice staff”

Simple, minimalist dorm rooms with bunk bed, private bathroom and shared kitchen. Everything was clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with organic local products and view to the lake. There were diary free and glutein free options as well.The staff was very helpful both at breakfast and with tourist information. There is a luggage room and we could stay in the common area longer as we left in a rainy day. The hostel is suitable for individual, couple and family travelers. Easy access to attractions from there.

Facilities were as you would expect for a Hostel. Decent self service kitchen, comfortable common area and breakfast kept us going for the morning. Sauna extra but recommended

“Scenic locstion on a lake”

This was my second stay here, my first was in 1976 !! It is much the same, although, 50 years on, looking a bit aging now. Excellent location, right on the lakeside, 10 minutes walk from train station and town centre, dramatic views from the hostel, and from the room if you get one on that side. Usual facilities for a hostel, I was in a private room, large communal areas, small kitchen (which I did not use other than for drinks). Buffet breakfast, good selection and standard.

Lake, nature, cleanliness

Lovely staff members, it was quiet when I was there so my stay and breakfast was very peaceful. Walking distance to the town and gondola for the ski fields.

The breakfast was great with lots of ecological and fresh products. Loved it!

Probably the best hostel in Norway. Comfortable and spotless, it’s perfectly located right next to the Voss lake and within easy walking distance of the town center. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome. The facilities are well maintained and inviting, the staff genuinely kind and helpful, and the breakfast is rich, varied, and beautifully presented. One of my favorite moments was sitting in the cozy common area by the fireplace on a winter evening, reading while the world outside felt quiet and still — pure Scandinavian hygge.
