Volendam is beautiful and we really enjoyed being on the water. The self check-in was easy and the boat was clean. We found the space worked for us for three nights but we were only on the boat in the evenings and would leave early in the mornings to go into Amsterdam. The public transport was super easy (although we found that the bus drivers didn't like tourists at all and we had some very unpleasant encounters with them). The space is perhaps a little tight for three adults and would be more suitable for a family with children. The second room with bunk beds is very small.
