This is a beautiful little house in the heart of Vodnjan - a town we have loved for many years. We normally stay in an apartment overlooking the square, but it wasn’t available this year. When we found Casa Bumbara we booked it straight away. The house is beautifully refurbished with stone floors and ceilings - and stays cool all day - we hardly used the AirCon. Everything about the house has been tastefully decorated, and you can tell that it is a house that is lived in. It is over 3 floors, with a large downstairs kitchen and living room, a fabulous bathroom on the 1st floor and a great double bedroom in the loft. It has a lovely outside space with table & chairs, loungers and a BBQ. Everything is well supplied - washing up liquid, toilet roll etc, but also coffee, sugar, oil vinegar - all the things you normally have to buy in self catering, even though you only want a small amount. We were met at the house by Martina who gave us the keys and showed us around - again it couldn’t have been easier - and were also given a bottle of Malvasia wine and some local olive oil - which was nice. Highly recommended - although please try not to book it for when we will return next year!
