Marko is a fabulous host. He can help with anything you need, trips, hikes, etc. We could use two bikes and enjoyed a wine tasting. He also offers sunrise and sunset boat tours. We enjoyed the sunrise tour a lot. Thanks again Marko, fantastic stay and highly recommendable

“Like staying at your favorite uncle’s/cousin’s”

Marko’s guest house felt like arriving to visit family. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The terraces were very nice, everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and the Livingroom/kitchen was well equipped and cozy. The surroundings are very charming and inviting to relax, specially on the hammocks in the back going up the terraces by the vineyard. Marko is a fantastic host. He offers a fantastic breakfast, has great tips for all of the surroundings and the boat trip with him was definitely a highlight. We got to try some of his typical (and very tasty) black wine in the wine cellar and chat with him. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Marco was waiting at the car when we arrived, it was a lovely welcome and he helped carry our baggage to the room. It set the tone for the rest of the visit :) The apartment is brand new and beautifully finished, with handmade chestnut furniture that gives it a real warmth. We were the third guests, so everything was pristine. Comfortable bed, great sleep. Marco took us on a tour of the property, shared some family history, and brought us down to his wine cellar for a tasting.. He also recommended a little fish restaurant on the lake, nothing fancy, but the fish was outstanding. Breakfast the next morning was homemade fritters with all the toppings, delicious and delivered promptly for when we requested it to arrive. We sat on the balcony with the birds singing in the background. Was super yummy! We were only there one night, but we'd go back without hesitation. Marco is a wonderful host who clearly takes pride in sharing his corner of the world with guests.

Marko our the host and property owner, made a lot of effort to make us all feel welcome, he was incredibly kind to us but particularly our 5 year old daughter and made her trip very special even driving his boat on the lake! The property we stayed in was newly renovated to an excellent standard so was great value for money and comfort.

“A perfect, restful stay with wonderful food and scenery”

This was our favourite accommodation during our three-week trip through the Balkans. The setting is idyllic, and we enjoyed spending some time in the beautiful garden, lying in the hammocks and watching the tortoises! We had a fabulous dinner in the garden on our first night - carp served with all kinds of salads and a glass of Marko's wine. We also had excellent breakfasts (8 euros per person), including some traditional doughnuts which kept us full for pretty much the whole day! I recommend going on a sunrise boat trip with Marko if you can - it was the perfect way to see the lake, before it gets busy later in the day. Marko also showed us his winery, recommended some cycling routes, and generally went out of his way to be helpful. This really is a model of how to run a guest house - highly recommended!

“Guesthouse close to Lake Skadar with the most wonderful host”

Marko, the owner of the guesthouse, is a most wonderful host who goes to great lengths to take care of his guests. He really makes you feel welcome. I appreciate that he was willing to get me from the train station and take me back there, plus rescue me when I got lost while hiking. He took me to a private boat tour on the lake, which was the highlight of my stay. The place is nice and clean, and where I stayed, there was a communal kitchen to prepare little food and keep drinks in the fridge.

We ended our holiday in Montenegro in the best possible way with Marco. His hospitality and passion were truly amazing. The homemade wine, the delicious traditional Montenegro breakfast, and the tasty dinner were all fantastic. The boat tour on Lake Skadar with Marco was also a real highlight. We highly recommend adding this place to your itinerary when visiting Montenegro. A solid 10/10!

“A great, unique experience”

We loved the house and the beautiful view from the balcony, the peaceful surroundings, the comfortable rooms that . . included everything we needed. But above all we enjoyed meeting Marco, our host, who made us feel welcome, made sure we had everything we needed (including free bikes) and gave us great tips on things to do and see in the area. His family has lived in the area for hundreds of years and touring the house, grounds and wine cellar with him gave us a fascinating insight into the history and culture of the area, and Montengro in general. The early morning birdwatching boat trip with Marco on Lake Skadar was one of the highlights of our trip.Warmly recommended!

“Very relaxed, excellent host and amazing breakfast”

Marko is an excellent host. He knows so much about the area, and he recommended us some sights and hikes. The property is gorgeous, right outside the chaotic city centre. (you can get there on food, for example to get dinner, but it's much quieter) We went on a boat ride with Marko (private tour!) in the early morning, it was amazing. Certainly recommended. Also recommended: the breakfast of traditional fritters with cheese and honey. They were by far the best we had the entire trip. (it was an enormous portion and we ate every last one)

Although we were late, Marina welcomed us. She recommended a great restaurant. Everything was great.

Close to town if needed but far enough to be peaceful, beautiful surroundings. Loved the terrace to sit on during the evening. Marko was a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble. House was presented beautifully inside and out, and Marko was very helpful with local recommendations, organising activities etc. Most of all Luna the dog made our stay, she is adorable.

Owner Marco is very kind friendly and hospitable man. I had a feeling that I had a visit to the best friend. Clean apartments, well-groomed garden, nice and kind assistant Sonya left only the warmest and pleasant impressions. Don't forget to go with him to a tour of the Skadar Lake, as well as to taste home food with wine or rakija. “Lovely apartment with a great host”

The apartment is just outside the main town so it was nice and quiet - 15 minute walk into Virpazar. Bed was comfy and room was spacious. Shared kitchen area was fully equipped, there was a washing machine we could use. Marco and his fiance and mother were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for Marco - he was a genuinely nice guy, made Turkish coffee for us in the mornings, did a free wine tasting session with us, and gave us lots of tips for places to visit in the local area.

Truly exceptional. Marko is very kind and attentive to his guests, he helped us discover some beautiful locations nearby. Since we weren't driving having access to bikes helped us a lot. I cannot recommend this stay enough: stunning view, good food, comfort, cleanliness, beautiful locale and an amazing host and his family! Hands down our best experience on booking.com.
