Vipava, the only valley among valleys, close to the expressway, yet peaceful and quiet, as if it weren't there. The house where we stayed for a week is a great surprise. It begins with a key. Next, the door, old with a big, true key, when opened, reveals the well-kept beauty of a story. Alice in Wonderland—that feeling. Wonderful. Next, we enter an illusionary realm: old furniture, bookcases, numerous wall pictures, like those of children and adults, tugging at our hearts with memories. It is (and probably was and probably will be) fabulous. Ripening figs all around, a spacious garden, seemingly carefree yet charming. And all around, silence, peace, unless the fifteen minutes pass and church bells ring the bells. Time truly brought us more than we could have expected. It truly is, behind Alice's mirror. If you've ever wanted to spend a moment in a fairytale world, we recommend it. Spend time there for your soul.

Indeed a lovely house in Vipava, perfect for those who are interested in exploring Vipava wineries, some of which are in walking distance. We did that and it was a wonderful experience overall.

Wonderful and cosy house surrounded by a romantic garden. Equipment and decoration made me feel I was at my grandparents enjyoing my summer holidays as a child. We enjoyed also many charming paintings and pictures hanging on the walls that had completed the atmoshere in a very pleasant way

Very large house, really nice decorated with all retro elements. Huge bathroom. Very quiet surroundings in the wine fields in the little village Slap. You do not hear anything when sitting in the garden, only the birds and the bees. Well equipped kitchen. Ideal for a visit of the Vipava Valley. Recommanded to do the excellent wine tasting down the road. It was very hot, so the airco was welcome :-) It is an old renovated house with a lot of charm.
