Overview
Located directly across from Vimmerby Train Station, this hostel is a 15-minute walk from Astrid Lindgren’s World. Free WiFi, a guest kitchen and furnished patio with BBQ facilities are offered. Central Vimmerby is 500 metres away. Each simply furnished room at Vimmerby Vandrarhem has clothes hangers and access to shared bathroom facilities in the hallway. A children’s playground and gazebo can be enjoyed on site, along with a selection of board games. Vandrarhem Vimmerby also has a communal TV lounge and dining area. Within a few minutes’ walk, guests can reach a variety of shopping and dining options. Vimmerby Stadspark, just 100 metres away, has a large lawn with a playground and beach volleyball.

“Affordable accommodation in an overall pricy area”
Location is excellent if you look at ease of transportation and close proximity to Astrid Lindgrens Värld. The price is truly affordable for a family of five. The beds were alright and we slept well.

It’s close to Astrid Lindgrens Värld. This is the only good palace with this hostel.

“Cheap, but will not come back”
On booking.com site it stated I had booked family room with toilet and shower in the room. This was incorrect, toilet and shower was in the hallway. It wasnt very clean, dirty mattress and pillow. Run down

Excellent location, easy to communicate with management. Rooms are a bit cramped and far from sound-proof, but it's definitely value for money.
