“A spot of perfection in the middle of nowhere”

Our apartment was small but perfectly formed with canaries nesting in the roof and paying us morning visits, and an incredible astronomical vista available from our balcony. Alejandro was the most amazing host, attentive helpful, and an excellent cook, with a surprising repertoire of dishes available.he arranged pickups and dropoffs,a superb toirnof the desert, and even our onward bus tickets! Biohotel Qji was truly isolated, but had everything we needed, and that made it just perfect

The bed was clean and very confortable. The mostico net was good. The sink was clean and the shower good with pressure and shower head. The laundry smelled good and the soap too.

The rooms were comfortable, glamping style facilities. The staff was very friendly and assisted us with any request we had. Breakfast and other meals are cooked by the staff, and they were very tasty! Only thing to keep in mind is that the location is farcaway from any city. Night sky was amazing

Cindy and John were the most wonderful hosts! We had to change our stay last minute to the previous night and they were very flexible and even organized the transport from Neiva bus terminal to the hotel for us. The food is great and John booked us a TukTuk tour through the desert for the next day which was one of our highlights in Columbia. I would always go there again, such a lovely little cabin in the middle of beautiful nature.

“Magical stay at Tatacoa Dessert”

Biohotel Qji is a lovely retreat in the middle of the Tatacoa desert. It consists of a number of spread out comfy cabinas which gives you maximum privacy and tranquillity. Watching the night sky from your cabin is really very impressive. Cabins are spotlessly clean with quality beds and have nice shower and bathroom. But what makes the place really stand out are the owners. They are extremely helpful and prepare you delicious breakfast and dinner. When our daughter forgot her drawing material, they were so kind to send it to our hotel in Bogota. Alejandro is a interesting and philosophical man with a profound interest and love for the Tatacoa animals and plants. We definitely recommend this place

This place is amazing! Beautiful cabin, the common area is a birds paradise, the pool is awesome.. a unique and local experience for nature lovers. The whole concept of this place is really cool! And the people are so friendly. If you come by bus from Bogota or Neiva, let them know. They really helped us out a lot :)

Top location in the middle of the desert, very remote but a great experience! Everybody there was so friendly and helpful, especially Alejandro.

the cabins are absolutely stunning, I loved the constructions. the bed was very comfy and you could see the sunset and sunrise from the bed. I loved the net to watch the stars at night. the crew was very friendly and flexible and also very helpful with the food, trips and transportation. they also take in and foster stray dogs to be adopted (awesome!) and the dogs are absolute sweethearts.

We loved staying in the biohotel tatacoa Qji! The cabin we had offered us everything you needed. A nice bed, private bathroom with outdoor shower and even a hammock! They‘re even running a little restaurant at the social area with amazing food!

If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, wake up to bird singing, and stargaze at night-- this is it. The staff is wonderful and super helpful. The food is pretty good. The bed was very comfortable and I loved going to sleep

Where to start... this place is the highlight of our trip across colombia! The accommodation is beautiful, imagine waking up to a desert breeze, hearing horses gallop by, listening to the sounds of birds as you lay in bed. Breakfast was delicious and accompanied by humming birds next to the table in the trees. Dinner was one of the best beefsteaks I've ever had, the portion was generous and just utterly delicious. There's a spot to charge your electronics, a gang of friendly dogs, games, lots of places to chill, a pool and lots of flowers growing all around. It's paradise! The staff went out of their way to make our trip memorable and they are just fantastic. Seriously, you cannot get a better location and a better stay in the area than this place!!!!

We enjoyed our stay in the desert close to nature and the hut was nice for stargazing. Be aware that you will be on a digital detox as the reception is depending on the provider you use and there isn't any wifi. The food was awesome and the personnel was very friendly. They made us feel very welcome and made a great effort to communicate with us despite our little spanish. We booked a trip to the desert through them and had a great day with a knowledgeable guide who tried his best to speak slowly and in easy spanish so we could learn a lot about de desert - would absolutely recommend it.We also booked a transfer with them back to Neiva and Alejandro gave us some local foods to taste which were great😃
