“Hidden gem”
Friendly staff, clean albergue and good food. Perfect place to stay if you're walking to Muxia on a 4 day schedule. Tiny hamlet with no other services, but thankfully everything you need is in house. Towels also provided.

“Perfect ‘off stage’ stop on the Camino”
Nice sized albergue with enough facilities. A lovely back garden. Restaurant on site for meals and open in the morning for coffee! Situated in a tiny town right on the Camino.

“Perfect stop on the camino”
O Cabanel is the perfect stop on the Camino to Muxia. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, the room and bathroom were perfectly clean and there were also laundry facilities (extra cost). We enjoyed resting our feet and sunbathing in the garden area which was a bonus! The cafe/bar offered a pilgrims menu as well as a la carte, the grilled chicken, pardon peppers and meat and lentil soup were particularly tasty. We had a wonderful experience here at O Cabanel and would highly recommend a visit! Thank you for everything!

This place is a gem. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and you get a real duvet. The outdoor area is so beautiful to unwind after a day on the Camino. The restaurant serves lovely food.

“Peaceful, quiet and clean.”
This place was lovely. It was so quiet and peaceful with the Albergue situated in a tiny hamlet in the middle of the countryside surrounded by rolling hills and farms. The room and facilities were spotlessly clean and the food was great. Would recommend.

“Hidden gem on the Camino”
The people were super kind and friendly, the showers were hot, powerful and really clean. The room was spacious. We were given a TOWEL. The food in the bar was tasty and had big portions. This is a really great stay on the Camino, don't miss it. A very solid, well executed albergue. Also, a good kitchen to cook your own food if you wish.

“Nice hostel, private room was not very private, nice people, kitchen, garden and location.”
Location in a little hamlet was great, staff really friendly despite having worked all season. We liked the small balcony and nighttime was quiet. Kitchen was close and we enjoyed having a kettle to make tea.

“Welcoming lovely Albergue”
Lovely Albergue and bar/restaurant that seems to be the centre of village life. Very friendly and welcoming staff who worked very hard for all the pilgrims and villagers alike. Comfortable room to stay in and all very clean. Food was excellent and great value for money . The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and were super helpful. Highly recommend.
