Overview
This Logis is a family-run hotel, located 4 km from Villard De Lans, just 50 metres from the cross-country ski slopes. It offers rooms with a private bathroom and a TV. The Auberge's restaurant offers a daily breakfast buffet and regional cuisine. Meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant, by the fireplace, or on the terrace, during summer months. The terrace opens onto the gardens and children's play area. During the winter, guests of the Auberge des Montauds can visit the ski slopes, just 5 km away. Summer leisure activities include mountain biking, tennis and hiking. The restaurant may be closed on certain days during the week. Please contact the hotel to find out the opening days before your arrival.

“Great food, friendly staff, good location”
Warm, friendly welcome from the whole team at the auberge. Wide choice of products for breakfast, including home made jams and fresh cheeses (fromage frais) from a nearby farm, that set us up nicely for an energetic day. The meals in the evening were simply wonderful. There's clearly a lot of effort and talent gone in to making everything delicious. There's also a log fire in the restaurant area to add a little charm and warmth at the end of the day. The auberge is particularly well situated to access the nordic ski area at Bois Barbu, which is a good starting point for a lot of hikes. We walked there, but we also didn't have to carry any ski equipment.

“Lovely typical alpine auberge...if going in winter make sure you have your chains.”
The trip to this auberge taking a small road to a high valley where to discover this typical alpine auberge. The reception was friendly, the rooms large and clean, with typical wood furnishings. In summer this would be a walkers paradise, in winter a nice, cosy place for your apres-ski. The location is exceptionally quiet/peaceful, walking out late a night you could hear a pin drop...bring a torch! The restaurant has an interesting menu, regrettably, I was so tired from driving from the port, slept through dinner, and waited for the continental breakfast in the morning. (FYI: Some roads to join the main route south takes you litterly under mountain cliffs.)

“Fabulous food!”
Beautiful setting in the mountains. The food was superb and one of the stand-out meals on our holiday. In addition, our server (Melissa) was delightful - very friendly and charming. The attic room was basic but more than adequate for our needs.

“Peaceful location”
Visited this place on a motorcycle trip from the Alps.We loved it. lovely people.Very accomodating . Peaceful with a wonderful terrace garden to sit in. Beautifuly kept place. Couldn't recommend more.Great walks locally. We did a 3 hour loop walk straight from the house.
