“Quaint experience in a historic Spanish Town in La Mancha”
The Rural Inn Posada Abuela Fedela (Grandma's House) is situated 1 km from the Plaza Mayor in Villanueva De Los located in the province of Ciudad Real, Castilla–La Mancha the capital of the comarca Campo de Montiel. Villanueva has been designated by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid as "El Lugar de La Mancha" (The Place in La Mancha) mentioned at the start of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes. Our host Miguel welcomed us to his home designated the largest Junior Suite to us in the attic Room offering us the garage to park our car and stating as it was Sunday had made a reservation for late lunch at Sancho Bar a short walk from the house. Miguel prepared a rustic/homely Spanish breakfast each morning and was so very kind, attentive and helpful. The bed was so huge and comfortable promoting a good night's sleep provided by the tranquil surroundings being just out of the town.

“Fabulous”
Our favourite hotel of our trip! Very warm welcome. Fabulous room. Great size. Garage for motorbike. Not far to walk into town with a choice of restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Host very friendly with good English which is nice.

Lovely character/quaint rooms with access to the communal kitchen and lounge. The suite was spacious and comfortable, with a mini kitchen. Miguel and staff were very attentive for our overnight stay.

Breakfast was nice. Host Miguel and his wife was really nice and friendly. Our room the Junior suite was exceptional again for the price. This is such an unbelievable hotel for the price and the owners are exceptionally nice and accommodating. Very romantic village. Great experience. Very quiet. Got one of the best nights of sleep.

“Lovely suite, comfortable and full of character, and a friendly, welcoming host.”
We booked one of the suites and it was fabulous. It was larger than we expected and beautifully furnished. The suite even had a walk in wardrobe which is something I've always wanted. Parking is easy and the main historic area is a 10 minute walk away. Breakfast was toasted bread with a choice of tomato & olive oil (Spanish style) or jam plus fruit and home made cake & biscuits. We would definitely stay here again.
