Charming place with real history. Owner is helpful and friendly and seems to do everything. Nice little restaurant downstairs which has a good selection. Pretty much next door to the Chateau so it meant we could visit first thing ahead of the crowds.

Great spot, above the restaurant in a lovely old building. Pretty and spacious room with very comfortable bed. The restaurant serves great local food - be sure to let your hosts know early if you want to eat there. Despite us not doing that they were very gracious and fitted us in, even though they had a big group that evening. Lovely breakfast provided.

Comfortable stay in a historical building with a gorgeous little balcony looking over the street. We were mid-September, and most things had closed, so we ended up with pizza from the vending machine just out of town. There was a shared lounge, which we didn't use, but would have if we had traveled with friends. The breakfast provided next morning was delicious, and the host was very friendly. Absolutely loved the Chateau de Villandry.

“Exceptional rustic stay in Villandry”

Absolutely loved the stay in this little restaurant / shop. Set in a small village, and just a few steps from Chateau Villandry, the two rooms here have been beautifully laid out and renovated. We also had lunch and drinks at the épicerie which was excellent - highly recommend if staying in Villandry. The breakfast was one of the best we had during our week’s stay in the Loire Valley too!

Characterful rustic property in a great location in the delightful village of Villlandry, just a stones throw from the chateau. Thierry was a welcoming, friendly and thoughtful host. Helped us carry our panniers to our room and was fun to talk to.

A lovely room in a historic building right near the castle and gardens. Our hostess was warm and welcoming. She was also very gracious about our request for vegetarian food. This is a unique spot with a quaint restaurant in a perfect location. We are especially grateful to our hostess for helping us choose a better bike route than what we had planned, allowing us to go through the nearby troglodyte caves in Tourquant.
