“A great place to stay in Vila Joiosa”

The staff, Elena was everything you would like from a hotel, polite, kind, helpful, efficient. The seaview room was large, comfortable with a great bed and it was spotless. The bathroom was good. The swimming pool was welcome and the breakfast was plentiful and well priced. The location was perfect, three minutes from the beach, five into the town.

The hotel location is great and one has a superb sea view from the outdoor swimming pool balcony. A very nice idea of this good 3 star hotel is to assign two basement rooms to be a Hostel, and with a very competitive prices. Their description of the Hostel part is advertised confusingly. They have two bedrooms for the Hostel. They are on the -1 floor with small windows with no views from them. One bedroom is a very small room with 3 bunk beds (6 single beds). It is very crampy especially if more than 3 people use it (the space between the two bunk beds is 70cm). The other bedroom, slightly larger (but still cramp). The second room has 4 bunk beds and a single bed (9 single beds). They bought the basic bunk beds. Very low (top bed mattress is 1.4m high, so no headroom for bottom bed sit) without any curtains or headboards for privacy. The very big advantages are the common hotel facilities. Outdoor swimming pool, beautiful indoor swimming pool. Two changing (unisex) rooms. And an out-of-order gym Very comfy sitting area. Desks for work and sofas to relax with a balcony (-1 floor) outside. There is no kitchen facility at all for Hostel guests, but there is the hotel restaurant serving glorious breakfast (6 euros) and a lunch Menu-del-dia (11.50 euros). The single toilet for the use of the Hostel does not have a toilet-seat and is cleaned every two or three days (cleaned on Saturday since Tuesday). There is, in -1 floor, another toilet (closer to the restaurant). Actually, after notifying reception that no seat is installed at the toilet on Tuesday, a person came on Saturday and installed one, but the seat installed does not keep at its upright position for men 2 p. The shower does not have a wall hook, so needs to be held all the time. All in all, a very pleasant experience!
