Overview
Plaza Mayor is set in the main square of the Medieval town of Villafranca de Bierzo, in the town centre. It offers functional rooms with free WiFi and a flat-screen satellite TV. “The hotel is on the Camino trail and is ideally located for Pilgrims.”
Central location just off the Camino trail. The room, which was extremely clean and comfortable and the bathroom was great with a bathtub. The breakfast was great (€12 for buffet breakfast) and the waitress was really friendly and accommodating. The room where breakfast was served was bright and airy and an ideal venue to chat to fellow pilgrims.

The guy in reception was so welcoming. His recommendation for a nearby restaurant was 100%. Breakfast was gorgeous- they even have separate food for Coeliacs. Very thoughtful of them. Full marks.

“A wonderful hotel in a beautiful town on the Camino Frances”
The location right in the town square. Our bag of laundry was washed and dried for us! Clean and spacious room. Very comfy bed. Hosts were so friendly. They even delivered our bag to our room for us.
