“Disappoining stay next to Carretera Austral”

Quiet place directly located on the Carretera Austral

Our stay was quite strange. The cabin on the one hand was large and newly renovated, but it felt like the renovation was not yet finished and no thought had been put into the small details. Part of the parquet floor was broken, the hot water did not work consistently, we only got 2 large towels, no small towels and no dish towel or cloth to clean the kitchen, there was no soap in the shower or coffee/tea bags/salt in the kitchenette.

Such a wonderful place. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The place is very spacious and smells really good. We should have stayed longer here. The design is really pretty and communication was great. Thank you for having us.

Very new and clean hostel! Large shared space, sufficient kitchen supplies, and beautiful views on the mountains from the garden. Dorms were spacious, with comfortable beds and overall very clean! Location superb, very close by the laguna hike.

For a budget traveller this is a perfect place to stay, loved it. Bunk beds are comfortable, the accommodation is spotless and the kitchen / dining area is well equipped with beautiful views of the mountains.

We couldn’t stay in the hotel since no one replied to our calls nor anyone was around the place when we arrived although we had reservation and we were chatting with the host on the arrival day. So at 21:00 we were forced to search for another place where to stay overnight.

Chilled place and nice kitchen and sitting area with big windows overlooking nature. There is enough space for cars and it’s easy to meet people. The kitchen seemed equipped and there is a fridge to store stuff,

Great value for money. It is one house with 3 rooms of dorms for 8 people each. It is located approx 5 km before Villa Cerro Castillo. So you need a car to get there. Kichtchen has all the basics you need. Rooms are a bit packed when full - no locker for your stuff - only a shelf. But nice guests to have a chat - so best option if you are traveling alone in Cerro Castillo and don't wanna pay like 100 USD for a full hut.

“Recommended for families.”

It is a very spacious cottage. The heating is wood-burning, which makes it very comfortable. You can warm up quickly and enjoy the smell of the fire. The staff is very nice and helpful. Plenty of place for parking.
