Nothing to like about a place so poorly maintained, it is well past its sell by date, torn curtains, insalubrious bathrooms, millipedes and coackroaches. Half a bar of soap available, all just below average.

We were warmly welcomed by our host, Jerry, with a refreshing pineapple juice and a big smile. Our room was upgraded, and we had the pleasure of staying in the beachfront house, overlooking the stunning Indian Ocean. The room was spotless, with fresh white linen, and surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden. We spent the day relaxing by the swimming pool, sipping drinks under the sun. With the property located right on the beach, access to the ocean was effortless. In the afternoon, we sat on our balcony and enjoyed the lively daily fish market just below—a scene straight out of National Geographic. We even bought our own fish and had the team prepare it for us, which was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

We liked the staff, Wilson was very helpful and friendly. He helped find us someone who helped us with the activities to do around Vilankulo and the trips to Bazaruto and Banguarra Islands. The beds and rooms were very clean, and they did room service which we appreciated. The area seems very safe as well.

I had a sea view, from my balcony what was amazing! The host and the owner of the place was extremly friendly and supportive with everything that I requested! Great pleace I would reccomend it to anybody!

Warm water in The shower, bed was comfortable. Friendly staff. Pool area was nice. Breakfast was nice.

This is a lovely place to stay in Vilankulos. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing here during the day. There is really easy access to the beach and the pool is lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful place in beautiful surroundings very close to the beach where the fish boats come and go. Small but comfortable huts, very clean. Very helpful and nice staff! We would gladly come back!

With the situation, I think the Staff tried very hard to make my stay comfortable. They were very very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. They did not have a drink in the bar that I wanted, they went out of their way to get them. I sincerely hope things will pick up again for them.

Nice location just next to the beach. The staff is really nice, and helped to book trips ect. The breakfast is nice (eggs or fruit salad). The rooms are nice with detailed and creative solutions using natural materials.

Looking for a cheap, nice place to stay where the staff makes you feel like you are at home, ready to assist with whatever you need, nice food at reasonable prices, comfortable beds, situated on the beach with only a short walk to the market? Look no further, Baraca is the place with the good vibes you are looking for when vacationing. Winston and Cendalia are very good at taking care of all guests - thank you, both of you - and knowing that there is a nightwatch makes you feel safe, which is especially important when travelling alone.

I had a wonderful stay at Baraka Beach Hotel, where the friendly and family-like atmosphere truly made the experience special. The interior design of the bungalows, particularly the one I stayed in, was charming and gave a sense of comfort and relaxation. What I found particularly authentic and unique was the hotel’s proximity to the local fish market right in front. Every day, fishermen brought in their fresh catches to sell, creating a lively and culturally enriching scene, although it could get a bit noisy on some days. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly, especially those working at the bar, who always made me feel welcome. One of the highlights of my stay was being upgraded to a better room with a stunning view, which was a lovely gesture, especially since I was staying for a full week. While there was no WiFi in the room due to a cyclone that had caused some damage, the staff quickly resolved this by providing a hotspot whenever needed, ensuring I stayed connected.

The whole experience at Baraka beach was amazing, the breakfast was good.
