“Not pleasant”
The floor wasn’t properly cleaned with hair and dirt at the foot of the chair. There was dirt along the windowsill as well. There were also multiple marks on the walls. The bedding was rough and uncomfortable to sleep in. Towels could do with being replaced. No hot food available at breakfast (ie scrambled or fried eggs, bacon and sausages) unlike every other hotel we stayed in while in Iceland. Overall a very expensive and overpriced hotel stay for the standard that was provided.

“Dull exterior is offset by warm interior”
From the outside the hotel feels a bit like dated from the early 1970s. But you shouldn't judge a dog by its hair. The hotel is modern, has large rooms and serves a good breakfast.

“Lovely hotel, few minutes drive from Vik”

Great location and we were lucky to get a nice sea/ lake view room in the new modern block. Big room/ bathroom and clean. Plenty of space! Dining facilities good- great breakfast selection and also dinner. Parking on site also.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and very good for exploring Vik. The food was excellent both dinner and breakfast. There is a hot tub but it was quite busy the evening we were there.

Location is just 5 min from Vik, but far enough to have good darkness to see the Aurora.

It was a very comfortable stay, clean with great facilities like a sauna and spa we could use. The breakfast was delicious. The location was stunning and we were lucky to watch a beautiful display of the Aurora on our second night.
