“Magical”
Our stay at Puertas was incredible! Kate and Lisa went above and beyond to make us feel at home and help us all the way through our trip. The hotel is beautiful and fully equipped with a lot attention to details. We had trouble with one of our excursions and Kate helped us immensely and saved the day. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

We had a good check-in process, and Kate waited to check us in and walked us through the different facilities at Puertas, such as the communal veranda and the honor bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available). The room was beautifully decorated and it felt like a tropical paradise (but only during the day before the bar across the street blast their music, ruining the whole stay experience). The coffee provided was delicious, and the morning breakfast was great too. We really liked the banana bread and scones that were given as part of the breakfast, and the yogurt appears to be homemade. The breakfast comes in a cute picnic basket, which was adorable. We wished that a stay in Puertas would also garner other perks given the price we paid for the two nights we were there. For example, we wished that our stay could also include a discounted meal at their sister restaurant, which is located downstairs or a complementary transportation to and from the ferry or airport. However, the cost could be driven by the fact that it was peak tourist season since Esperanza was crawling with tourists that wekened since it was a public holiday weekend.

“The perfect beach scape”
The place it is just beautiful, the decoration is impecable. The room was very comfy with a good size, great bed. The shower was great. Breakfast was served on a cute picnic basket at the room. The location is very good, near restaurants and SunBay beach (short walk), and a short drive to the other main beaches. Kate was lovely. They store our luggage before and after so we could enjoy the day, and also a place to change after check out. The restaurant at the hotel is also very good.

Beautiful and romantic place. Excellent and friendly staff ready to help us out with all our needs. Kate and Lisa were marvelous! Our room was amazing and the attention to every detail makes the place feel magical. Will definitely be coming back!

The personal and warm welcome from Kate when we arrived was very special. She made us feel very very welcome and was so friendly. We didn’t need her for anything since we were well taken care of, but knew if we needed any help she would be there for us to help.

“Lovely little hacienda style bed & breakfast, conveniently located”
I received a warm welcome and lots of instructions from the staff. Communication, including for taxi arrangements were super smooth. The room was very nicely decorated, clean and comfy. I never had a breakfast served in a picnic basket by my window so that was a good plus. I loved the big hamac on the terrace to chill. The beach towels and chairs provided were very welcome. The entrance is secure with a code / lock on the door. The local e-guide was very useful and well designed.
