The location, albeit a little hidden from the road, is excellent. Large garden (could use some work though, mainly cleaning up), plenty of parking space. Rooms have a lot of the old details from the past like arch build brick ceilings, of course you worry a brick may fall out of you look closely, but I think it's part of the charm of the rooms. The staff is very friendly and ensures you enjoy your stay. I personally prefer this personal hospitality of a small hotel run by its owner way above the average business hotels.

Very friendly staff. Organised a safe place for my bicycle. Made special breakfast because I left an hour before official breakfast time. Opened the door at 07.00. Excellent! Solid meal, with very nice Coupe de la maison. Hotel is close to the road but all rooms are facing the other way. No noise

Our stay at Parkhotel Villa des Effats in Vielsalm was a pleasant experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner. Our room was spotless and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight was the excellent breakfast, which was perfectly taken care of. In addition to the extensive breakfast buffet, freshly fried eggs were served at the table. The hotel restaurant is also highly recommended: delicious pizzas and pastas! A pleasant stay, with particular attention to hospitality. We will definitely come back here!

The breakfast was lovely continental Vielsalm is the perfect location for exploring the area and into Germany. We came to vielsalm as a group on motorcycles to explore the area . Harold and his staff were welcoming . He allowed us to park our motorcycles in his large garage overnight for security

The included breakfast was excellent. Big range and well prepared. The evening meals also good. The host and all staff very helpful. Located close to town centre and lake. In lovely grounds. Very comfortable and spacious studio room. Real value for money.
