“Beautiful colonial hotel with pool area and an excellent restaurant”

We loved the pool area and spent some time relaxing there most days. Although the pools are small it was great to have a dip when it got too hot and staff brought drinks out to us. The restaurant was excellent (the best or second best in Vicuña) and as we were there over the Christmas period, it was great to be able to rely on it being always open when other local restaurants were closed. Staff were friendly and helpful, you felt really spoilt and well looked after. We had a wonderful massage with Lia and really enjoyed our week at the hotel Solar Madariaga.

“Beautiful property with lovely facilities”

The property was absolutely beautiful with lovely grounds with lots of cactus and succulents. We enjoyed spending time in the pool and on our balcony. The bed was really comfortable and the room nice and cool. We also had a meal at the restaurant which was very good. Reception staff and evening restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming. Also a younger lady at breakfast.

This place is an absolute gem, combining excellent service, delicious food, and a rich sense of history and character. Incredible Staff The staff at Solar Madariaga are the heart and soul of the hotel. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Whether it was the front desk team, the restaurant staff, or the housekeeping, everyone greeted us with a genuine smile and were incredibly attentive to our needs. Delicious Meals at the Attached Restaurant The restaurant at Solar Madariaga is hands down the best place to eat in Vicuña! Every meal we had was a treat and I looked forward the the inclusive breakfast every morning. The quality of food, combined with the cozy, welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, made it a highlight of our stay. The bar is also renowned for making excellent cocktails. A Hub for Tourism & Relaxation One of the best things about Solar Madariaga is how it’s integrated into the local tourism ecosystem. The hotel made it so easy to plan and book activities during our stay, from relaxing massages to guided tours around the region. They connected us with trusted local providers and ensured everything was well-organized, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. It was such a convenient and stress-free way to explore Vicuña and the surrounding area. A Beautiful, Historic Building The hotel itself is housed in a beautiful old building that is full of character and history and has remained under ownership of the same family, and it was great to learn about it's history from the owner.

The old building was very well renovated. We had a room in the new building. The room was very comfortable. The pool area is very nice. The restaurant is excellent.

“Excellent and very enjoyable stay in a lovely village!”

Lovely hotel, possibly the best we have stayed in so far during our month long Chile/Argentina trip. We had a very well appointed and large room, maybe slightly too close to the restaurant & therefore a little noisy up until 11pm. Restaurant was excellent and we thought reasonable value for money. We liked the restaurant so much that we ate there both nights of our stay. We were very well looked after by our waiter, Juan. Muchas gracias Juan! Breakfast was also excellent. Diego, the owner, was also very helpful.
