“A wonderful stay in nature in town centre with lovely people”

The garden with its hammocks in between trees, wine and green parrots and a really friendly enormous orange cat is the best. A wonderful place to relax. The other aspect I really liked about the hostel were the people that work there. Eduardo, Richard and Sandra make this place special. I’ve never before stayed in a hostel where someone invited you to a dinner or gave you a lift to the bus stop for free because he decided your bag is too heavy. Sandra is offering tours. She is new in the business but seems to already know everyone around Vicuña. What’s special about her tours is that she looks for places where tourists can get to know local shops and businesses and get in touch with the locals who explain about their work (e.g. a ceramic place or a special restaurant that we visited). I stayed for 4 nights and if I had had the time I would have stayed for longer (in the hammock). What I also liked was that it was a quiet place and that there were not a lot of people staying there. We were 3 girls in a six bed dormitory. The luxury of travelling in low season and because they use all of their dormitories even if there are only six people staying at the same time instead of stuffing everyone in the same dorm until it’s full.

“Okay hostel”

The hostel has okay showers and toilets. The kitchen is okay The location off the hostel was nice only 8 minutes walking from the bus terminal.

An amazing hostel. Very clean, huge dorm and bed, modern bathrooms, very good and spacious kitchen. Plus beautiful garden w hammocks. The best feature is the staff. Really helpful and taking care of every need. Of course I decided to stay longer in this beautiful place

“Great place to stay in Vicuña”

The staff were super helpful, especially Richard who was extremely generous with his time and had all sorts of great information about the town, around town, suggestions of where to eat, drink, etc. Our room was large and had a large, comfy bed + another single bed. Shared bathroom but they were very clean. Large, clean, well equipped kitchen for self-catering. They let you leave your luggage there if you arrive early or your bus is later than the checkout time. There's a friendly cat who hangouts there. The hostel itself is large, old, pretty, spacious.

“Excellent stay and host”

Excellent stay in Vicuña. Edgardo was super helpful and helped me find the perfect Astro tour with a knowledgeable astronomer for the one night I was there. The property is lovely and very looked after. Highly recommend.

Pleasant, serene, relaxed, friendly, safe. And a couple short walkable blocks from the main square. You can do a couple of short to medium hikes in the hills close by, and the people, dogs and chickens are all friendly. Staff was helpful and easy to chat with. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, guests share the space easily and courteously. .

“Best place to stay for several days 🙂”

Very comfortable accommodation, super clean rooms, bathrooms, showers, main areas, and kitchen, great kitchen equipment, central, and easy to get to from the bus station. The host is very nice and gives valuable advices for things to do. He also creates connection between travelers in case you’re travelling by yourself and knows tour providers/bike rental places in town to give recommendations. I really enjoyed my stay here and it felt like being at home even though there were not many people around as I was visiting in shoulder season. Moreover, the garden is very comfortable for relaxing days, watching stars at night, and chilling in the hammocks. Next time, I‘ll stay longer - the Elqui Valley is a very beautiful place to visit as a solo traveller.

“The best hostel in Vicuña, with the best host”

This place was unbelievable, such clean hostel, with many toilets and showers, cozy rooms with comfy beds, beautiful garden with lots of seating and hammocks from where you can watch the stars. The kitchen is beyond well-equipped, with even more seating. Nice common area. Edgardo is the best host you can ask for, speaks great English, responds to all your questions, he even arranged for me to safely store my luggage in la Serena for couple of hours. This is one of those places you don’t want to leave.

We had such an amazing time at the hostel. The room is very comfortable and in such a cute environment with the possibility to relax outside, cook meals in the kitchen, etc We are extremely thankful for the owner who made our stay incredible and comfortable.

The best hostel I stayed in. It was very clean, well equipped and the rooms are well appointed. The hosts are super nice and helpful, they explained so much to me on what I could do and what my options were depending on what I was looking for.

“A beautiful place to rest”

A very nice hostel with such a beautiful atmosphere that I extended my stay to rest and enjoy the garden and the other nice spaces of the hostel. Very clean, comfortable, modern bathrooms, little attentions like tea, coffee, water in the spacious, well equipped common kitchen and beautiful soft sheets on the beds. Laundry service available as well. The owner is also exceptionally nice and helpful, available, thoughtful and speaks perfect English.

“Best hostel 😍”

Amazing Hostel! One of the best places I have ever stayed in. Everything is super clean, the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. A perfect place to cook your own meal. There is even Netflix in the common area if you want to spend a chilled evening. The owner Edgardo is super friendly! He recommended me places to go and things to do. You can always ask him for advice/ help. I loved my stay at this hostel! Thanks for everything 😍

“A star in Vicuña”

Lovely hostel where great care has been taken. First time we have seen wheelchair acess to toilets and showers. Recycling facility in well stocked kitchen (including ovens, hobs, kettles, toasters, fridge/freezers etc.) Plenty of shared indoor and outdoor space. Although only shared toilets and showers they were very plentiful and spotlessly clean. Lovely, friendly owner who has lots of local knowledge and advice.
