For us, the perfect accommodation! Very good, centrally located, close to all parts of Mahé island. True to its name, it is in a real tropical garden. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, safe. The host Flossy is very friendly and helpful. This was our second time here.

“Magnificent cozy house.”

We were on Mahe for the first time and wanted a separate house in the middle of the island to make it convenient to see as many locations as possible, the tropical garden was perfect. The house itself is not big and very cozy, there is parking for a small car, Wi-Fi works perfectly, beautiful terrace, breakfast and dinner with birdsong and the sound of water)) a lot of greenery. Very nice and good-natured hostess, she solved any issues that arose very quickly. Thank you very much for a wonderful vacation❤️.

If you want to explore the island of Mahé, this place is perfect! The house is truly amazing – spacious, welcoming, with a wonderful view, and surrounded by green nature and many flowers. It has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Thanks to Flossy for her generosity and kindness, which made our stay really special – she is a truly lovely host!

“Peace and quiet as well as a good starting point for exploration and adventure”

The location might be a hit or miss depending on what you are looking for - we came to spend a few days in Tropical Garden Self-Catering after we had already spent a week on Praslin and La Digue in accomodations located near the ocean and beaches, so the fact that Tropical Garden is located at a distance from any nearest beach and up in the mountains was not a drawback for us. Quite on the contrary: we noticed that at a higher altitude (around 330 metres ASL) the air in the morning was a bit more fresh and cool than at the sea level. Tropical Garden Self Catering, true to its name, is located within a beautiful garden from which we were encouraged by our hostess to pick starfruit straight from the tree. It has a breathtaking view of the mountains from its balcony. It is spacious and tastefully furnished, clean and cosy. The hostess Flossy is the heart and soul of this place - she gave us the most heartfelt welcome, taking time to explain which beaches are safe to swim, which trails she recommends for hiking, which buses to take to go to Victoria or to the nearest beach she recommends for swimming and snorkelling (Port Launay). When on one day wi-fi stopped working, she was on the phone with us and quickly resolved the issue. She organised a taxi for us, asking the driver on our behalf to take us to the hypermarket in Victoria and wait for us while we did our grocery shopping before taking us to the accomodation. We did not rent a car on Mahe and still managed to see most of the island travelling by bus - the bus stop is located witihin about 8 minutes walking distance from the accomodation. You just need to devote some time to study the SPTC bus schedule but once you decode it, there is no stopping you from seeing every corner of Mahe!

The property is situated amidst lush green environment. We took the rent-a-cab from airport (which Flossy helped us to book, super nice of her) and drove for ~30 min. The location is more or less situated in the center of Mahe from which you can have easy drivable access to good beaches like anse petite, anise royal, anse takamaka, etc. Only thing is parking is bit of a bother, other than that everything is good. One more thing, whenever you are traveling to this place, just do a google maps search of this place rather than going to the one linked with booking.com.

The host, Flossy, was wonderful. She was very kind in helping us settle down quickly. She provided us with local recommendations and rental services via her friend for a very fair budget price. I would highly recommend her place for anyone looking to visit Mahe. Her place is very quiet (a little up the hill) with a very nice view of the mountains, and it is very peaceful for a getaway from city life in Victoria. She is ready to help if you need anything.

Beautiful, perfect accommodation in a truly tropical environment. Quiet, safe neighborhood, the accommodation is perfectly equipped, comfortable, spacious, we can only say good things. Flossy is a wonderful, kind and helpful host. This was by far our best accommodation in the Seychelles, if we would come again, we will definitely choose this one.

“An amazing place for couples that want to discover the island and be located at a central place.”

Wow! What a nice place, within the tropical forest. We arrived very early in the morning and our host was so kind. She let us check in very early in the morning and we could get some sleep after a very long flight. We did not have to pay anything extra for early check-in. We woke up to a very nice view of plants surrounding the house. This is a small house, standing by itself! Very quiet and chill. It contains a bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining area and kitchen. Private parking is available and in addition a washing machine. One of the best beaches is easily reached by car. We had a rental car and it was perfect. I don't know how easy it would be to reach by public transport. Highly recommended, we would definitely come again any time.

The house is located in the middle of a beautiful tropical garden and it is surrounded by the rainforest on all sides. The views are amazing. Victoria is not too far, and the bus connections are frequent, so a car is not essential, although I would recommend renting one. The bungalow has everything you might need even for a long stay. Spotlessly clean. The host was very welcoming and gave us some good tips. She offered to keep our luggage on our last day and to provide us with shower facilities, so keep that in mind if you have a late flight.

It was a beautiful house in the middle of a beautiful tropical garden with so many beautiful plants and so much privacy. The host was very helpful and super friendly. The mountain view from the bedroom was just great. It was worth the money spent.

Flossy, the perfect host upgraded us to a giant, two-story villa with all amenities for a family of four. Any issue (only minor things) we had, Flossy immediately took care of. Very friendly, very caring - extraordinary! A true comeback location for sure.
