We booked this apartment very last moment. Ben was extremely helpful with instructions and tips and he offered to drive us to the city when we needed. The apartment is uphill 10-15 min driving outside Victoria in a quiet area with very nice view. It's very clean with all facilities, coffee, water and everything needed.

Incredible! There aren’t enough words to explain staying at this property. First of all, the property itself is absolutely stunning. I stayed here for a month, as a solo traveller, and it truly felt like home… and a gorgeous home at that. From the balcony, to the view, to the coffee machine that gets the pods restocked after every flat clean… everything. The photos don’t do it justice. But the icing on the cake is how hospitable Ben and Janet were. Before arrival, I was in constant communication with Ben on WA to ensure smooth sailing and also good knowledge of the property and the island. He even took the time to send me an extensive message detailing things to do on the island during my stay: from hikes, to tours, to activities and also restaurants to try. On arrival, Ben picked me up and took me on a tour of Victoria, and to one of the gorgeous viewpoints near the flat. They also graciously gave me lifts down to town every morning, on their way to work, and would offer to take me to the supermarket whenever I needed, as well as other random trips if I asked and it was convenient for them. Also, as they live just down the hill, any problems (e.g. a gecko!) were fixed and removed in under 2 minutes. For any midday solo exploring, the house is a 3-minute walk away from a bus stop and it was very easy to figure out the bus system, and I used it to get around the island. I don’t drive and coped just fine. A car would be much more convenient but not necessary when you pair the proximity of the bus stop, with the kindness of Ben and his family. Car wise, Ben has the cheapest rates on the island for OR residents anyway, so he can always help with that if you want a car. If you’re thinking of booking OR, do it!!

The host just gave us a car drivearound through Victoria so we could see some stuff, while we were on transit. Great service, great host.

Benjamin is a very kind and welcoming host. He will pick you up from the airport for a reasonable price, drive you around the neighborhood, and advise on local hiking trails. The location of his house is amazing with spectacular views and close to the mountain with even more amazing views
