The hotel left a very good impression. The staff is very friendly and genuinely helpful with every little detail, unlike in many countries where the staff just smiles. The room is very cozy, everything is new and clean. Cleaning is daily, even excessively so. Everything you need is in the room, even a robe and slippers, a refrigerator, etc. The hotel has its own chef, and you can order lunch and dinner, juices, and fruit. I booked all the excursions through them in advance to book the optimal schedule and make sure I had time for everything. I then compared prices with the local prices, and the hotel offered me cheaper prices, and most importantly, all the excursions were with good guides. This is important. For example, on the safari, many people were in old jeeps with 15 people, while I was in a brand new Land Cruiser with three other travelers. The same goes for the excursion to the Angel's Pool and the helicopter flight, as well as the safari in Chobe with a crocodile lunch. All the excursions exceeded my expectations. The food is also good; they can cook it any way you like. It was especially pleasant to talk to the manager, Lorraine; she's a very sweet, beautiful, and intelligent girl, attentive to every detail. I'd happily stay another week, but I have to go home.

The property is very well kept. The staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Special shout out to Samantha who took care of us from meals and drinks perspective. The staff helped us a lot in terms of logistics to book activities to do, making sure we have packed breakfast for when we had early morning activities. The transport organised for us (Shalom taxis I think), the gentleman was also very helpful, very punctual and would also give us some guidance on how to go about activities in the area.

I checked into Telescope Boutique Lodge in Victoria Falls on September 8, 2025, via Booking.com, expecting a safe and relaxing stay. Unfortunately, my experience turned into a nightmare due to apparent theft and serious lapses in security and professionalism. Just two hours after checking in, I stepped out briefly and accidentally left my room key card inside. Upon returning, I requested and received a– while they acknowledged the issue, there was no immediate action and safeguards taken. This incident raises serious questions about the lodge's security protocols, staff accountability, and guest safety. How could someone access my room without my knowledge? Why wasn't there better oversight on key card issuance or room access? Prospective guests should be aware of these risks, especially when traveling with valuables. I strongly advise securing your items in a safe (if available) or considering alternative accommodations with better security measures. This has ruined what should have been a special trip, and I hope Booking.com and the lodge take this seriously to prevent it from happening to others.

Clean and cosy. Lovely modern African decor. Staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about what to do in the area. They would even book any events on your behalf and sort transportation.

I’m honestly at a loss for words to describe how impressed I was with this hotel. If I had to sum it up, I’d call it “understated luxury.” Everything inside is spotlessly clean, fresh, beautifully designed, and feels brand new — both comfortable and aesthetically refined, with an artistic touch. Every detail is clearly thought out with the guest’s comfort in mind. What truly stood out was the exceptional staff — every need was anticipated and fulfilled without delay. Everything was handled promptly and with such warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality — I haven’t experienced anything quite like it before. And the food deserves special praise — not only fantastically delicious, but also beautifully presented. This was one of the most memorable hotel stays I’ve ever had, not just in Zimbabwe, but anywhere. Highly, highly recommended.
