The room and bathroom where clean and spacious. But not the family house.

“Misleading advertising, construction site not safe”

Upon arrival they said there was no booking but finally found booking & said we had to go next door which needed up being an uncompleted building site. No safe to store your valuables, no shower curtain/screen, no hot water, water trickled out of taps & shower. No iron, incomplete wiring in the room, no tv & iron & hair dryer as stated in the pre info. No bath mat could prove dangerous as was very slippy after a shower. I had to ask for them to refit the toilet seat as it had not been installed properly No lift, swimming pool was dirty. The bathroom smelt of sewage at times. This is not a place to stay yet as they have not even finished one room completely to the specifications advertised. I have since read the hotels response to many other people’s concerns & appears pretty standard. Many of the same concerns were reported in January 2026 but they have still not fixed them. It looks like work has stopped & doorways have sheets of plywood just lent up against the wall but are about to fall down- huge safety concern. The room had rising damp & the paint was flaking off the walls & ceiling. Breakfast was served next door but you had to walk on the road to get there. You had to order your breakfast the day before which was annoying & it was pot luck with your choice of fruit if they had any at times. Since looking at the website the photos were very misleading as they have combined the two hotels. They did not offer a refund even though they had misled us with our booking confirmation. These are all facts and could be a good hotel once completed but nobody appears to know when that will be. Even the title of the hotel in this survey states we booked The Little Outlook however we had to stay next door at the Outlook.

Got bumped to the dilapidated half-demolished The Outlook next door with no prior warning after The Little Outlook got a big group booking. Could not live in a place like that, managed to book another lodge.

Overall, the hotel is not too bad. It’s about a 20-minute walk to town. You can order individual breakfast. If you will leave early, the pack you a breakfast box.

The room was huge with a traditional style roof, the WiFi was decent around 15 mins walk to the supermarket and 20 mins to the main town. The pool was good.
