“A lovely Lodge that exceeded our expectations”

It is a small lodge with just what we needed for some R&R. Very helpful staff. Our room overlooked the beautiful landscaped garden which has a small pool to cool off in. It had everything we needed. Recommendations for where to eat were perfect and Kenny our taxi driver that the Lodge use was just perfect. It was nice for the owner to seek us out and introduce herself.

The beautiful, elegant atmosphere of the lodge. The garden was large and we sat on the terrace having drinks. The furnishings were very tasteful and luxurious and the pictures and photographs on the walls were classic Zimbabwe. Near the Falls too.

A beautiful property and garden, with a very homely feel. Staff were excellent and helpful, responding to all of our requests politely and professionally. A few pointers on improvements to the facilities in the room were readily taken on by staff.

The most charming place, lots of character and attention to details. The whole place is very well kept. Rooms are big, beds ever so comfortable. Lovely and helpful staff, very attentive to guests needs.

Owners of the lodge were very friendly as were all their team of staff. We were contacted before our stay about excursions that we could book. These were all booked to fit in with our holiday schedule. The lodge is a little oasis, with a gorgeous garden to relax in together with a pool. It is amazing that the lodge was only recently built but has been delightfully designed and decorated in the style of an old colonial home.

Excellent hospitality in a beautiful location with very nice people. The owner has a great attention to detail (a traveller himself who is the fourth (?) generation living in Vicotoria Falls). When you enter the premise you have the impression that the location is the little sister of the Victoria Falls Hotel but less touristic. Staff (thanks Clever) was very helpful in organising transportation. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night. Initially, we thought the location that the location was a little remote compared to where we stayed before (closer by the park) but a 5 USD taxi ride takes you to any of the places in a few minutes with very little lead time required. As a matter of fact, the noise of the helicopters doesn't bother compared to other closer locations (you still hear them but remote). Great garden and super breakfast!

“The Jewel of Vic Falls”

This is an amazing place to stay in Victoria Falls. The Lodge manager Clever was great at communicating prior to arrival and organised taxis, trips etc throughout, nothing was too much trouble and made everything a smooth process. The rest of the staff are also super friendly and very professional and were available 24/7 to pamper you and deal with any requests. The breakfast on the terrace felt very special as the surrounding buildings, rooms and decor throughout had a very colonial feel. The owner Clive even took time out to chat to us during our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this superb Lodge, when we return we would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely wonderful stay, a heaven of peace and quiet in Victoria Falls. We were welcomed very warmly, and got all the help we needed with booking tours or accommodating a last minute dinner request. The garden is wonderful, we only wished we had more time to stay to enjoy it!

Big comfortable rooms in a beautiful garden setting , lovely veranda where you enjoy your daily breakfast.

Such a beautiful property, it was so calming walking through the gates on arrival and seeing the fabulous garden and hearing the birds chirping. The staff were warm and welcoming and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations, booked them, and arranged taxis to get us there. They even arranged a taxi to take us to Botswana! Nothing was too much for the lovely staff at The Courtney.

Beautifully decorated property with stunning trees. Its a small family run business with friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Its was a pleasure to meet the owners and get to know the staff. Huge thank you to them all for making our stay memorable and comfortable.

This property is absolutely stunning. The shady garden welcomes you on arrival together with the friendly staff. Instantly it feels like home!
