“Highly recommended”

This was our second visit to the California. Our hosts were charming and extremely helpful. The room was large and had the advantage of a balcony. The shower room and toilet were extremely well equipped and the bed comfortable. Parking is free on the local roads but one needs a little patience to find a spot right near the hotel.

Good value hotel in the centre of town. Our room was comfy and the shower was good. Close to shops and restaurants.

The owner didn't let us stay because the reception at her hotel was closed... We had a problem on the road (a major traffic jam due to a car accident) and arrived very late, but she didn't offer us ANY solution. She just called us at 22:00 and told us that "the reception was closed." We lost the money from the reservation, and she left us on the street. Finally, we were able to stay at a B&B... You said:

Nice hotel, I had a single room with double aspect windows. Simple but comfortable and clean. I loved having a hot bath after a day cycling. Nice, friendly staff, happy to store the bicycle.

The hotel is lovely. It's housed in a classic townhouse, the rooms are stylish, with beautiful windows and shutters, plus sometimes balconies with flowers. The location is perfect, a few steps from the spa park and water springs. The price is commensurate with the standard. The staff are very open, helpful and willing to talk.
