Capitán FAP Guillermo Concha Iberico Airport in Piura is a 2-hour ride away. El Mirador de Vichayito is a 1-hour car journey from Capitán FAP Pedro Canga Rodríguez, in Tumbes. Free parking is possible here. We inform you that we do not have beach-front rooms, our hotel is approximately 90 metres away from the sea, we are located on a hill, which is why we are the Mirador de Vichayito. We also told you that if we have direct access to the beach, we have a restaurant, bar and area of sun loungers and parasols for our guests. Our rooms have a private terrace with sea or garden view depending on availability.

The hotel was really nice. The whole area is a bit isolated, if relaxation is what you are after. The hotel is what you expect on the inside, I felt it was very reasonably priced compared to other options around, and overall clean and tidy. All staff were really nice and helpful The hotel isn't directly on the beach, but they have one of their restaurants as you go down with beach access, with some rooms in the main hotel with sea view. If you don't have a car, you will need to be mindful of having to walk a few meters uphill, like a ramp, in order to get to main reception, wasn't an issue really tbh

I don't usually write negative reviews, but this hotel definitely deserves one. It started off with the payment. While booking on this website, the hotel required payment beforehand, which I prefer. After confirming with my creditcard, they declined my payment twice, stating they just needed the creditcard for security. I wouldn't have minded, but the price (in Soles) they charged me at the reception was way higher than the final price (including service charge) mentioned by Booking.com. When I asked the lady at the counter about this, she gave me a strange story about their own personal exchange rate into USD, irrelevant since I paid in local currency. In addition, our room was definitely not clean, the curtains and towels were ridden with stains, there was mold on the ceiling and there were a lot of hairs in the bathroom. To make matters worse, the construction noises in front of our room made any form of relaxing impossible. Luckily, we booked only two nights. Although the facilities (swimming pool, breakfast) are okay, I strongly advise you to take your money elsewhere.
