Overview
Villa Campestri is a splendid Renaissance house in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, set on a hillside 450 metres above sea level and overlooking the Mugello Valley. This fine hotel was carefully restored using authentic materials and maintaining the building’s original appearance. Relais Villa Campestri is just 35 km from Florence and its fascinating atmosphere echoes the history of the surrounding area, which was the home of Giotto, Beato Angelico and the Medici family.

One of the best properties we ever stayed at! Staff was very kind and accommodating, food was excellent, property beautiful - surrounded by olive trees. We had perfect Tuscan vacation! Even our 6 month old baby slept well at Villa Campestri! ;)

This place is amazing! I would give 12 if possible. The place is really what we needed after staying 2 nights in the busy city of Rom. We will definitively come back. We met lovely people an felt super comfortable. Mille grazie :)

You will feel welcomed! Brilliant breakfast with local products like Mugello milk and fresh local products. Extra points for cats, guardian dogs, lambs, goats, le galline! Restaurant available at evenings. Pool. Country side jogging experience if you will. Awesome views and absolutely beautiful grounds for just relaxing.

The location is amazing, even if I was there shortly and for work, I had the chance to relax in the big garden with a drink and by the pool.

wonderful room and very delicious lunch and dinner. Wine and olive oil was also very good. Personal in the Hotel/restaurant were also very friendly and helpful.

“Heaven is a place - in Tuscany.”
Hidden Gem in the Tuscan Hills on a beautiful estate. Beautiful building, spacious rooms with antique furniture and lots of space. Even when fully booked, it has a sense of privacy. Staff is no staff, Viola and team are owners giving you a sense of welcome and belonging. Food is marvellous. Breakfast on the terrasse in the warm autumn Sun and heavenly dinners. We initially planned to eat at different places in Tuscany but ended up eating at Villa Campestri every single evening.

The location is very peaceful and the view is stunning. The staff was lovely and helpful and the restaurant, breakfast, dinner and picnic made the stay absolutely worth it! We will definitely visit Villa Campestri again!

“Lovely location, decent hotel, ok-ish staff, some improvements needed”
The views were very good, bed was comfortable and lodgings clean. Pool view was nice, breakfast foods good and the terrace is nice. Netflix in rooms is useful. Lovely old ornate furniture. Good shower pressure. Pretty easy to find on Maps although VERY twisty road (be mindful if motion sickness). Mostly polite and helpful staff. Nice farm animals too.
