Spectacular stay, the property is very special, the views are outstanding, overall a truly unique location, the castle has been sympathetically restored in keeping with its historic importance. The staff were very helpful, the only negative was not having tea/coffee / fridge in room but when asked we were quickly provided with a kettle. Huge thanks, would returned in heartbeat.

Breakfast is made to order and everything is home made and delicious. The room was huge with a very comfortable big bed. Staff is very friendly. The grounds are lovely and the views magnificent. Driving through the lowlands in northern italy i pretty boring but when you turn off into the hills south the landscape suddenly is breathtaking.

The views were superb- even in the rain and mist the property looked breathtaking. We dealt with Erica and she made sure we were comfortable; she gave us a tour of the grounds, got us extra pillows, and recommended an exceptional nearby restaurant as well as a local artisanal balsamic producer where we had a private tour and tasting.

Location is spectacular. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast and food were great - Balsamic vinegar was incredible!

Beautiful castello, tastefully decorated, lovely views of the hills and surrounding farms. Very peaceful. Bed sheets were high quality and comfortable. We had some lovely walks down to Viano through the countryside and some lovely restaurants within 20 mins of the property. A very nice wine cellar too!

This is a spectacular castle near Modena with very comfortable;le rooms. The staff were very friendly and kind. The two dinners we had outside in the courtyard were exceptional, all local produce. We had a superb stay.

It was an amazing stay. Imagine just being in a castle with so much of peace and quiet. We met nice people, had good food. It was pretty hot though getting ready in the morning! Agh castle life 😊

Castello di Viano is absolutely beautiful and has its typical Italian romantic charm. We stayed for only one night as part of our roadtrip to Le Marche, but I can imagine this would be a great location for more trips in this beautiful area.

“Stunning castle and incredible staff”

This was such a beautiful property. Stunning views in every direction. The staff were so kind and supportive. My 8 month old son fell asleep on me on one of the sun loungers outside and one of the staff brought me out a pillow for my head to make us more comfortable without my even asking. They even gave my son a small present. Our departure time was very early so we missed the cooked breakfast however the staff were kind enough to lay us out a spread of juice, cakes and fruits. The dinner we had was amazing as well. Highly recommend staying here 😊
