Overview
Hotel Al Convento is a former monastery in the historic centre of the mediaeval village of Vezzano Ligure. It features a spa, private garden and design rooms. The Cinque Terre National Park and the Golfo dei Poeti gulf are a 30-minute drive away. Each spacious room is individually decorated, and has air conditioning and a TV. Some have views across the hamlet. The interiors retain some of the original features of the building. At the spa, you can find a sauna, steam bath, sensory shower, hot tub, relaxation area and a salt room for halotherapy. Al Convento is 12 km from La Spezia centre.

“Reasonable hotel, parking is a disaster however”
Parking is a disaster. When arriving we were lucky to find a spot rather close to the hotel, but after returning from diner in the city, there was no space left in the streets. Circled around a few times, checked the larger parking spaces around the church but these were full as well. Eventually I parked at an illegal spot hoping I wouldn't get a ticket.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was unaware that there was a Spa at the hotel, and the staff immediately called the staff and booked a massage on request.

“Truly authentic experience with a few inconveniences”
Truly authentic experience in a small italian mountain village - I highly recommend the place Loved the restaurant next door (Osteria delle piedre) - make sure to reserve a table, this is such an authentic local place with fantastic food

The staff is extremely kind and always available to help and give tips about local activities. The facility is absolutely stunning, very clean and in a cozy little village. The SPA is definitely worth trying. Vezzano Ligure is in a great location, very quiet and only 20 mins drive from La Spezia, Lerici and Sarzana. We had a great time!
