“Overrated and not comfortable”

The check in time appeared inconsistent. No one was present at the indicated hour, and upon arrival we had to knock on a locked door. The staff had limited English skills, communication felt unstructured, and overall it seemed that the hosts were not particularly engaged in welcoming guests. During the booking process for a “double or twin room,” the information provided was unclear. The LOFT room Effervescence assigned to us was very small. It has only skylight windows, and when opened, they LET IN SMOKE and noticeable odors from a NEARBY restaurant CHIMNEY, which made sleeping with the window open very unpleasant. Access to the room requires climbing steep wooden stairs, which can be challenging when carrying luggage. Breakfast was quite limited. It is served at a single large table shared by all guests, which may not suit those who prefer more privacy. The apartment is located in a rather remote area, and there is no dedicated parking.

“A gem in Champagne region”

Delightful accommodation. Best we've stayed in. Beautifully decorated and designed. Lovely guest lounge area, including minibar with owners' champagne and soft drinks at very reasonable prices. Edith was an excellent host, friendly and attentive. Breakfast was exceptionally good with everything thing you could want, including the offer of eggs cooked how you like them. Long table breakfast with other guests was good too. Large comfortable bedroom with kettle and coffee/tea, plus large bathroom with good shower.. It didn't matter to us but, guest area is on first floor and our room was on second floor. A good stop over for us returning to UK via Calais. The champagne we tasted was excellent too! Somewhere to recommend and to return to. Parking was easy and free on small village square across the road from the property

“A useful stopover for those walking on the Via Francigena”

We were walking on the Via Francigena a pilgrim route and needed a place to stay in the village. Hence the significance of this B & B. The room was fine with a good amount of space in the bathroom. The lounge/breakfast room was also available for relaxing. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

It was excellent. There was a large variety of food on offer and we enjoyed the boiled eggs, which were cooked according to taste. The breakfast room was spacious and tastefully furnished and it was pleasant to share the table with the other guests.

Charming accommodation in Champagne - easy to access from motorway but in very quiet little village. Excellent restaurant next door- Du Cep a l’Assiette (you’ll need to book). We loved the shifts and house martins whizzing round the rooves. Communal table for breakfast is friendly.

Great location in the middle of the village. Beautiful room Edith was a great host and served up a wonderful breakfast. Very quiet location but only 10 mins from the motorways around Reims

We had the most perfect stay in this cosy B&B. We were a family of 4 and stayed in the Brut room which was just perfect. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choice including a cooked option.
