“Fabulous rural dog friendly Gite”

We had a fabulous two nights at this beautiful Gite on our way back to the UK from southern Spain with our two dogs. Everything is outstanding, the quality of furnishings and fittings, to the most beautiful setting. We were made to feel so welcome by Sam and Jonathan, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was provided on our first day and a 20yr glass of cognac on arrival. Our dogs had a great time playing in the huge secure garden with their two, who are super friendly. Jonathan arranged a vet appointment for us so we could get our paperwork done for the return to the UK. This was certainly the most stress free experience we have ever had so would recommend Clinique Veterinaire Harmand-Lay in Jornac. Super comfortable bed and fabulous bathroom. Fully fitted kitchen and a lovely fire in the lounge. We will certainly be back next year. Could not recommend this lovely Gite anymore, 5 ⭐️

“The best gites we ever stayed at!”

Le Pigeonnier is a beautiful gites for everyone who likes peace and quiet and luxury. The kitchen is fully stocked and it was lovely to have a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and milk when we arrived. Jonathan is a super host. We really appreciated that he brought us baguette and croissant on the first morning for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the shower super. Jonathan not only met us personally but was also very responsive when we had any questions. I can highly recommend Le Pigeonnier if you want to visit the Cognac region.

Beautiful self contained mini house with beautiful countryside in every direction. Very well appointed, modern bathroom and kitchen and lovely interiors. Jonathan and Samantha were wonderful hosts and went to great lengths to make sure we had a great time. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more.

Jonathan and Sam are fabulous hosts. The comfortable Gîte, full of character is superb, with every small detail carefully considered and executed to incredibly high standards. Some lovely touches like the welcome pack, dressed table and fresh bread for our first morning were warmly received. The setting for the property is stunning with excellent views over the adjacent Cognac vineyards. We were incredibly blessed with the weather and witnessed the full Harvest Moon rising and setting in glorious technicolour! We have hundreds of photos to treasure and recall happy memories of our honeymoon. Well done to all, 10/10 and we will return! Paul & Sue Jeffrey

An absolute gem. The Gite is perfect for a couple in a fabulous location. Luxurious and comfortable with high quality furnishings and we slept so well. The pool is amazing with loungers and outside furniture. Samantha and Jonathan are superb hosts and gave great tips about the area as well as expert advice on our house seeking adventure.
