“The nastiness of the hidden extra fee ruined what would otherwise have been a lovely stay.”
The host emailed the day before arrival to say that an extra 25 Euro fee applied for use of bed linen and towels. This was not mentioned at the time of booking and is an unnacceptable hidden charge. I have never been charged extra for these essential items at any Booking.com stay. By the time the email was sent it was too late to cancel, so had to accept. Also the sum of 25 Eu is totally ridiculous for laundry costs.
